I was directed their way to have a window replaced through insurance last spring (2022). They measured it, then lost contact. When I realized that this hadn't been dealt with, I reached out in the fall. They said they were going to come re-measure one afternoon. They never came. In March 2023, they called asking if the job was done, as it said it was marked as done in their book. In June, they finally came to re-measure the window, saying it would be 2-4 weeks. 6 weeks later, the window arrived. Another 2 weeks before I got any word of replacement. Finally, after SGI made contact, they scheduled a time. They show up, and measure the window to find out it is nearly a foot too long. Now I am back, waiting to hear about when the window will show up. To say the past 16 months of dealing with them has been a disaster would be putting it kindly. The workers who came to replace the window seemed nice, but the logistics aspect has been atrocious.

Update: Window has been replaced. They did not put the weather striping, which caused the window to wiggle about a 1/4". Scheduled to come at 9 to fix it. Did not attempt to come until 11:30. When they rescheduled and did come to fix it, they left a mess on the window, which took a few hours to clean.

I am now thankful this 18 month nightmare is over.

DO NOT HIRE WINMAR!
Over charged, double charged labour at different rates, charged for vehicles/trailers that were not used, stole items - charged for removing and cleaning items that were never returned.
Did not complete the job, left with moldy walls and would not come back to fix it without charging us again.
Save yourself the nightmare of dealing with these crooks and get literally anyone else to help you.

I was not impressed with quality of work completed. Winmar was hired by my insurance company to clean after a fire. This company is a 2hr drive from where I live, they were a minimum of 7 to 21+ days between visits. Final report stated timeline for emergency cleaning would be 1-2 weeks. 4 months post fire, 3+ trips to clean and RECLEAN and my house still showed signs of smoke damage, soot, and smears from poor quality workmanship. Every delay in the insurance process seems to be my insurance agent waiting weeks to months for Winmar to submit their reports. I would not recommend this company.
