Worst experience to get restoration done over six months. Project manager Austin dyck. Don't know how to manage his own work. He took 4 months to identify material to order and 2 months to get the materials. Zero sence of how to talk to customer

A fighter jet can't get you far and fast enough away from this company. My basement flooded and my insurance had them come out. First off I will say the issues I had were not with the quality of the work but with the management of my job. From items left in my basement amd forgotten about to no communication about having to meet with a contractor about flooring, until I brought it up months after the job was agreed upon, to having to constantly having call or email Sam Hammond to have things delt with. Felt like I was a small pointless project for them, and that because they had the money from the insurance company there was no concern for me or my job. STAY AWAY give someone else your money .

Winmar was chosen by our new property management company (Krall Management) to carry out some hallway drywall repairs at our condo.
Highly professional from start to finish, extensive protection to hall carpet, all edges taped down and high quality workmanship to complete the outstanding work.
The young man carrying out the work was very careful and polite and I am sorry I didn’t ask his name.
I certainly hope Winmar is contracted for any future repairs based upon my observations of their first work in our building.

I have used Winmar to restore the basement with affected area near the drain pipe due to clogging. Their team took care of it and it was absolutely fantastic job.
Then I requested for a quote to replace drain pipe from property line to city line because the roots of my tree broke the clay pipe. The quote was very reasonable and also the work was completed. Thanks to David Douwes!!!!! He took care of everything and provided me with photos and updates on progress and also fixed an additional problem. Kudos, keep up the good work.

I called Winmar to clean up a sewage backup in my unfinished basement, a small but messy job. I would have tackled it myself, but with a broken sewer I wasn't sure how to dispose of the mess. It took the crew of 2 workers approximately 40 minutes. The service agent was very responsive and polite, but the workmanship was poor.
1. The clean up job was not thoroughly completed (they didn't clean up the raw solids at all under the open stairs, or in difficult to reach crevices).
2. They dumped the liquid sewage waste outside, down the city street storm drain.
3. They used an electrical outlet that I told them not to use and they blew the breaker (I specifically told them which one to use),
4. They unplugged my chest freezer, and didn't plug it back in. I didn't notice for a couple of days and the entire top half of the freezer had completely thawed.
The bill was $994.22, they deducted $100 for the ruined food in the freezer. I wish I had used a different company.

I first dealt with Winmar many years ago for a broken tub drain that leaked through to our dining room, and that was a great experience. So when I found mold behind my tub walls behind the tiles in my bathroom, I reached out to Winmar again. Not a great experience. My project manager forgot to send quotes, so I had to keep chasing him. Then on the day the job started, the guy doing the reno work went over the details of the job and did not mention the mold remediation. When I told him that's why I called WInmar, he looked at his requisition, the PM had left that off the list! The guy ( I forget his name) was great-- he called and got the remediation underway, and the work he did was great. At this point I asked for a different PM, and he was better. When it came time to pay the bill, though, it was incorrect-- an amount that was supposed to be credited was on a separate invoice. The actual work they did was great, but the project management was a complete mess.
