This is the second time my husband and I have used Westmark Construction for a new home build. The entire team lead by Chris Lundy are professional and caring. Eldon who was our project manager truly cared about our experience and did everything to make it as stressless as possible. COVID started during the time we were building and Westmark reacted quickly to put protocols in place to keep everyone on the work site safe and we stayed on schedule which is pretty remarkable. I would highly recommend working with Westmark.

Since moving to Nanaimo in 1994, we were always on the lookout for a home that had the “look and feel” we wanted. In all the years of looking and watching new homes being built we were consistently aware of the superior craftsmanship found in the “ Westmark Homes”.

Once we made the decision to build a home it was without question that we would use Westmark Construction. From the onset of the project, we were very confident that Westmark would be able to deliver the home we wanted. We were given a construction schedule at the beginning outlining all of the progress details and what decisions needed to be made at different dates. Whenever we felt overwhelmed, we would go back to the schedule to get back on track. In times of indecision when we asked for advice from Chris or any of the capable tradespeople we were most impressed by the recommendations.

When My husband and I were committed to the idea of a shingle sided home but did not have the additional budget required, Chris came up with the option of having us dip our shingles. We of course were most impressed when Chris and his wife Andrea actually came over one evening and helped in the process. This of course was above and beyond the call of duty and exemplifies the pride and care Chris takes into each project to ensure that his clients are happy with the end result in their home.
The entire building experience although exhausting was a very exciting time in our lives and we have the honour of sitting back knowing we got the home we always wanted. We would without hesitation recommend Westmark Construction.

Based on Westmark’s reputation, we hired them to do a complete renovation on our home. It was a difficult, complex build that required a lot of rethinking strategy but they approached difficult problems as a challenge and provided creative solutions. Their trades were knowledgeable and the pride they took in their work was evident. Having an onsite manager ( Chris) was a huge plus. He along with his crew kept the project running smoothly. We are so happy with our finished product and would be happy to recommend them to anyone who asks.

When we moved to Nanaimo nineteen years ago and started to look for houses, Westmark Homes always stood out with their exceptional quality, excellent workmanship, and beautiful West Coast designs.
Several years later, we decided to build our home and Westmark Construction was our logical choice. With Chris Lundy and Eldon Bueckert overseeing our project, the building process with Westmark Construction was smooth, efficient and well organized. There was excellent communication with our architect, Dennis Moore and our interior designer, Tracy Higgins. The trades people and staff of Westmark Construction were all first class. Overall, it was a very enjoyable process.
We have now been in our home for fourteen years and our home continues to display its solid construction and superb craftsmanship. We feel we made the right decision in having Westmark Construction build our home and would recommend them without hesitation , to build yours.

We are the second owner of a Westmark home in the Nanoose Bay Area and needed assistance in fixing an issue that arose outside of warranty coverage. Both Eldon the site manager and Jacquie the project manager at Westmark came through in spades in providing construction details to assist in correcting the issue. In particular referring us to a subcontractor who worked on that part of the project of concern during construction and who was willing, during these Covid times, to take family time out to come and correct the problem. It is pleasing to find companies willing to go the extra mile and to be so helpful 4 years after the building was completed.

We contracted Westmark Construction to build our custom home in 2004. It was a complicated architectural design which Westmark approached professionally and confidently. They used well qualified and highly competent subcontractors, quality materials and were fully available to discuss the plans with the architect. Construction work began at the end of 2004 and finished on time and within budgetary parameters in 2005.

We can only speak highly of the whole construction process; from communication with the office and the construction foreman; to the obvious pride and attention to detail of the various subcontractors regarding their work; the quality of the materials used; the timeliness of the process; the forewarning of necessary decisions on our part; as well as follow up with Westmark once the project was completed. Some people will tell you that building a home can be a stressful and agonizing process however our experience was quite the opposite due to our choice of a high quality contractor. Westmark made the whole process very positive.

We would highly and without hesitation recommend Westmark Construction to any individuals building a custom home.

Working with Westmark has been an absolute positive experience. Fantastic home builder. I can honestly say I wouldn't change a thing. Jacquie was wonderful at organizing everything and keeping us informed. Timeline was as promised and budget was exactly as quoted. Honestly blown away at how solid our home is. You hear nightmare stories of building but it was very smooth. Highly recommend them!
