Our bathroom reno's were exactly what we were looking for. From the custom cabinetry, wall mounted faucets and soaker tub upstairs to our magnificent double shower downstairs. Feels like a rain forest retreat, and quite tranquil.
The tradespeople were excellent to deal with and Von and Meg are talented, and a hard working team.
Von is a perfectionist and that is exactly who you want doing your next reno.

I'm extremely disappointed with the service provided by V&M construction, mount forest.
We hired him to build a sunroom for a hot tub, a deck and finish our basement, but unfortunately, he failed to meet the standards we expected.

One major issue was that he didn't pull the necessary permits for the project, which is not only unprofessional but also illegal and goes against his own contractual obligation. This oversight put us at risk of fines and potential safety hazards. His electrician was going to put the hot tub receptacle within 6 feet of the tub, when legally it needs to be 10 feet.

To make matters worse, when I reached out to Von to discuss these concerns, Von responded by threatening to involve a lawyer, which he did and expected us to pay his lawyer bill. This unprofessional behaviour and complete lack of accountability have left a bad taste in my mouth.

I would strongly advise others to avoid working with this contractor. His disregard for proper procedures and their aggressive response to customer concerns are major red flags! He overcharges, installs cheaper materials then demands you pay what he quoted, with zero ways of showing where any of your money has gone. Tells you the price could go up or down, but any change will have to be amended. Nothing was ever amended or changed. Once you sign, he builds as fast as he can, without permits, chooses and installs the cheapest materials without consulting you, then runs as soon as you question him and demands you pay, now that some work has been completed.

Given his unprofessionalism, over inflated prices and failure to deliver on his promises, I would strongly advise against hiring this contractor for any project. His lack of accountability and disregard for regulations can lead to serious legal consequences for homeowners.

This was a big project for us but Meg and Von's approach and professionalism helped us to process and understand each step. From our first meeting with them, we knew that they were committed to their clients satisfaction. Every stage of planning was discussed and they were responsive to our questions and concerns. They were patient with the planning department and permit process and handled it from start to finish. We could not be happier with our covered patio with their attention to detail and planned timelines they proved to be an outstanding contracting company that we would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a small job or a larger one.
