We moved into our True North Log Home two years ago. After attending one of True North Log Homes factory tour informative seminars in Bracebridge, and visiting one of their log homes, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality and natural beauty of their product. True North's factory engineered logs made from northeastern white pine, fit and seal together perfectly in combination with True North's unique locking system. We also appreciated the wide selection of beautiful home plans, as well as the ability to customize as needed.

All the logs required to construct the entire house arrived
pre-designed/cut, stained, and in and of themselves once assembled, provided both the outside and inside finishes, as well as superior insulation. We like the fact that the logs are a living, breathing natural part of nature, and during cold winter days retain the warmth from inside, and in the summer stay cool. Since our lot was located in a very high winds area, directly facing Lake Huron, we realized strength and stability would be important factors, and have found that True North's log structures present a very solid front to stormy weather.

The team at True North Log Homes has always been very supportive. We knew a local experienced contractor, and opted to have him complete the build. The staff at True North was always ready to assist him with any questions, and the build came together well. True North provides exceptional quality, and we were completely surprised by the sheer size of the timbers provided, along with the craftsmanship skills of our contractor to put it all together.

All in all, after two years in, we would do it again in a heartbeat. We absolutely love the spacious indoor-outdoor nature of our new home, and fully appreciate the uniqueness and workmanship of a True North Log Home.

We contacted True North because we liked the Arrowhead design. We met their specialist James who explained to us what is involved. We were very pleased with his professional and helpful attitude so we decided to go for it.

We added many custom modifications like larger footage, accent beams etc. James helped us select material and colours and contract was signed. We were getting prompt updates and drawings from True North that reflected our changes.

The whole process went very smoothly and the log kit was delivered to our lot on time. One set of logs was incorrect though. Now, if all goes well no problem, nothing to write about. But how the Company will react to a problem tells a lot about them. Their reaction was instant. In a few days they brought the right logs and the work continued. That in itself is a big plus for True North.

We relied on their expertise even after the home was finished. James was always helpful and patient with our questions.

We followed TNLH for a few years at the Toronto home show until we were ready to build. We attended their super informative seminar at their manufacturing location, which further convinced us we were making the right decision to go with them. Working with Steve Wrightman to build our plans and get things rolling was a pleasure. The consultant they provided at our build site to guide our local building team was fantastic. The entire experience was excellent. We love our log home!!

In 2022, we finished construction of our custom Arrowhead and we have nothing but great things to say about our experience working with James Weening (Sales and Design Consultant) and Steve Gallant (Project Manager through Log Project Management). We love our Arrowhead, and if you’re looking to build a log home with True North Log Homes, I highly recommend asking to work with James directly for picking out your log home, and Steve Gallant for project management. If you are considering a log home for your next purchase, it is highly recommended you attend one of True North Log Homes tours.
Very interesting build techniques and attention to detail. The wood species and size is 'top shelf' stuff!
The tour included visits to 3 existing homes, each a different style that is a good representation for the majority of builds along with their show homes.
These homes are extremely well built, strong and long lasting so the cost of building one is reflected in the price. They are not cheap and yet, you get more than what you are actually paying for.
