They guaranteed my spouse and I a price before we signed as the builder was likely to increase the price after signing. The day before we were to sign they were terrible to try and get in contact with, and when our realtor finally did they had raised the price by 10k and made no attempt to contact us to notify us of the changes. We withdrew our holding cheque because of this at that moment.

The next day when picking up our cheque for our unit being given to the next person on the list, they then tried to “see what they can do” full well knowing they had turned around and sold it immediately.

Yes it’s all about making sales, but have some common courtesy and communicate with people you have made arrangements/commitments with. They were both snakes withholding information and sharks just hungry to make sales.

Every time I call I have the most ignorant people answer the phone. Zero manners to customers. A lot of people at Treasure hill have been terrible to deal with again being a customer who bought a home and invested. This needs to change. If I spoke to them on the phone before buying I would have never made the purchase. Fix your customer service and when someone asks how are you, and the response be who are you looking for.... That pisses me off. Manners go a long way stop hiring these people.

Review Title: Two Years of Stress and Disappointment – I Regret Buying from Treasure Hill

I have lived in my Treasure Hill home for two years, and unfortunately, it has been a painful and distressing experience from day one.

Shortly after moving in, my fireplace exploded, which was terrifying and completely unacceptable in a newly built home. Then, I discovered a leak in the window, which led to additional damage. Over time, the flooring has started lifting and coming apart—despite the fact that I live alone and maintain my space with great care.

What has made this even more difficult is how I have been treated during the warranty process. I’ve experienced serious issues, including a contractor causing physical damage to my property and a shocking incident where I have video evidence of a Treasure Hill employee using offensive, defamatory language about me while on my property. I was watching this unfold live on my security cameras—alone and without any support. These actions have caused me emotional harm and a complete loss of trust in this builder.

Despite submitting my two-year warranty form clearly—especially highlighting the flooring issues—I later discovered parts of the submission were deleted. Thankfully, I kept screenshots and proof of what I originally filed with Tarion.

If I could go back in time, I would never have purchased this home. It would have been far less stressful and more cost-effective to buy an older house and renovate it myself, knowing it was done right and with respect.

My experience has led me to escalate this matter to legal channels and regulatory bodies, including Tarion and potentially the Licence Appeal Tribunal. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what I have endured.

Please be cautious when considering a purchase from Treasure Hill. Beautiful finishes mean very little when the quality, service, and respect for homeowners are lacking.
