A glaring mistake. Installed a 38,000 BTU furnace in a 2800 sq. foot home. This is more suited for a single bedroom apartment. Undersized by a significant margin. Air quality and ability to heat and cool significantly impacted

Edit: Richcraft is currently looking into the issue, so I will reserve my star rating for later.

I went to their office just to get to know the builder and I had the most friendly lady that helped me understand everything (I had no idea of how new build works) she explained it in detail and their models was another level!!!!! Attention to all homeowners: after enduring an incredibly frustrating experience with Richcraft homes, it’s time I share the truth about the numerous issues faced within a year of living in the home, hoping that it serves as a cautionary for anyone contemplating a partnership with this builder.

To begin with their poor workmanship, the quality of work done by this builder, is quite frankly, shameful. The carpet in my home can be lifted and pulled by hand, revealing a lack of attention to detail that is unacceptable for a property of this magnitude. The wood flooring on the main floor is not only visibly uneven, but also emits constant squeaks. Despite following their advice and investing in a high-quality humidifier, the problem persisted, with the solution now being a contradictory recommendation for a dehumidifier. The kitchen is another testament to the incompetence of Richcraft. The main island is crooked, and the cabinet and island colours do not match our chosen selections. It’s infuriating to witness such blatant disregard for what we had envisioned for our home. Moving onto the faucets that were installed, I was shocked at their lack of quality. Upon moving in, they were already fogged and stained and attempts to clean them had been useless. I never expected to deal with such issues in a home that I am paying a premium for. The windows on the main floor were also damaged, and the “fix”, which I use very loosely, was nothing more than a temporary solution. The windows were still damaged a day after and their approach to repairs is evidently superficial and lacking. The fireplace frame, a focal point of our living space, was damaged and “fixed” with magnets. This temporary “fix” is not only unsightly, but also reflects the complete lack of commitment to providing a quality product. Finally, Richcraft promised to repair any holes we find in the home, free of charge. When we discovered a hole that led to mice infestation, they failed to uphold their end of the bargain.

Every attempt to address these issues with Richcraft Homes has been met with dismissiveness and a refusal to take responsibility. The excuses provided are numerous, and there is a clear lack of accountability for the subpar workmanship and material used. As a dissatisfied homeowner who invested a significant amount in what should have been a dream home, I feel it is my duty to share this experience with the public as any problem I brought to them directly, was completely dismissed.

We are on Trailsedge, phase II. We had our newbuild delivered on Sept 2016. It hasn't even been 8 year and we were told by 3 separate roof companies that we need to replace the backside roof due to poor installation. Simply unnacceptable. Shingles don't have the proper overlap distance(some don't even overlap!), multiple exposed nail heads, and more.

We were definitely NOT expecting to change a part of our roof within 10 years of purchase of our new home.

Tip for future buyers (in case it isn't obvious): don't just pay for your run-of-the-mill home inspection. Also contact a roof company to inspect your roof diligently. Our roof was so poorly installed that, had we caught pre-delivered, Richcraft would have to redo the roof entirely.

Trailsedge is a nice growing development with a variety of home styles. The staff in the welcome center are friendly and helpful. The sale center and units are clean and the decor is pleasing and well designed.

We own an end unit townhome in Trailsedge. The sales rep was great at purchase. When we took possession of our home, the craftsmanship throughout the entire house was not up to par. That being said, many issues were fixed after closing but it was evident that the builder rushed to close the house on time.

The sound insulation between the neighbouring walls is terrible. We can hear our attached neighbour all day and all night. It’s almost as if we all share the same house. Richcraft said this was normal. I’ve never been in a townhome with such terrible sound insulation / noise barrier.

Bought a house in 2020 that was built in 2019 and was told that the builder was an excellent one. I must say that having been in this house for 3 years, i have noticed that the parging at my house and every other home in my neighborhood (Trailshedge) becomes brittle and will fall off after 2 or 3 years. Even more surprising is that the concrete under the parging is extremely poorly made becomes powdery. In one year over 3 inches of the concrete under the parging has simply become powder. Not sure how solid this entire structure really is. Take your car and have a look
