I only put a star rating on because I couldn’t post my comment! What a joke! They don’t deserve a star rating at all! Town of Ponoka, does not have any events for kids to attend, for Canada Day! Can you believe that? They sure show how proud they are to be Canadians, don’t they? No games, nothing! Ohhh, but they can go to the stampede grounds & pay $6 to $12 for a lemonade. $6 to $12 for a hotdog. This is so bloody ridiculous, and they can pay to go on the rides. WELL DONE TOWN OF PONOKA ! NOT! What is wrong with this town?

Went to a stampede game last night I can't belive the concession booth wasn't even open .so many ppl not happy about it and makes our community look bad .if they can't open for big games mabey there should be someone running it that can

We went to watch the fireworks that were advertised to start about 10:45. An hour later my kids and I left with no fireworks. Don't worry about starting them on time next year. We're not coming.

Loved it, with Deer walking leisurely in two and threes and more with their new borns. The battle river and its beaver as big as I have ever seen. Coyotes howling in the distance , with chickadees by the the dozens and house sparrows and magpies and ravines and crows. When spring comes there's always huge thick chunks ice 🧊 pushed powerly up on the mostly east side of the banks the battle river. Just thinking about it makes me long for again to be closer in touch with nature. And mesmerized by the great flocks of the dignified Grey breasted cedar wax wing birds feeding off the plentiful mountain ash berries in the back yard. Many colorful people willing help when asked and friendly greetings and beautiful walks along the battle river trails 👣 ✨ 😀. There will always be a great part of me left behind in the town of Ponaka . God bless all who reside.

Shame on the Town of Ponoka for canceling an arena rental to a group because the Town Council determined they did not agree with the politics of the group! Who will the Town Council cancel next? Boy Scouts?
