We had some tree root issues with our 60 year old sewer line from the house to the alley. I contacted Thuro to get a quote to repair it and they were more interested about my problem and a bit cheaper than the other company.
On one visit they had to avoid a family of bobcats that were hanging around for a while.
They installed a trenchless CIP (cured in place) liner for a reasonable cost and I was very inpressed with Charlie and her team. They had to jack hammer out part of my basement floor, but they repaired it very well.
I recently had the city out to inspect the liner and they used their video camera to view the line. We have a very long line to the alley so the city was very impressed with the job that Thuro did.
Thanks Charlie for all the sweat, work and effort you and your team put into this job. It was not an easy one, but your dedication got the job done, and done well!!

We'd been concerned about tree root incursion into our main sewer line, and Thuro came out to not only inspect it, but they conducted a trenchless repair that cost less than another company's quoted price and dealt with root incursion on the city's portion of the line. The work was completed more quickly than I expected, with very little disruption to our daily routine.

We had Thuro scope two houses - the one we were selling and the one we were buying. They were great both times. Lei from the office was amazing; she answered all of our questions and got us everything that we needed.
Charlie who did the sewer line scopes on site was also awesome and very knowledgeable. She also does the pipe bursting and liners so she really knows her stuff.
We now have them scheduled to do the sewer liner in our new home.

Had to have our sewer line replaced at our house. Fantastic service from start to finish. Thuro did a pipe burst from the city mainline to the house. It was done as scheduled and completed on time with no issues. Dakota and Charlie were very efficient and professional and explained everything in detail as to the process involved. Doing a pipe burst saved us from excavation of our front yard and having to remove 2 healthy spruce trees. Thanks to Eve, Sahra, for helping schedule this service and provide the information to make our decision. We had a terrible experience with Thuro and I would not recommend them. We entered a contract for the installation of a new sewer line via pipe burst and installing a backwater valve. The cost of the project was close to 18K.

After the work was done, I realized I had no proof if the backwater valve had been installed, so I followed up and they told me that they forgot to do this…I obviously was extremely annoyed by this as we had agreed to the work, and I paid 50% up front. When I pushed them on this, they offered a small discount on the cost, or they could come back and complete the work which would require another break out of concrete etc which is super inconvenient, messy, takes time out of my day etc. I told them I wasn’t happy with this, and I got this reply:

“The discount we provided was intended to address the fact that we had not completed a portion of the work originally agreed upon. This oversight was due to a human error rather than negligence on our part.”

I have no idea what this means, and I told them it was completely human error, but they never seemed to take full responsibility for what they did and tended to push back on me. They also made a hole in the drywall during the installation, and told me it would be fixed, and I had to follow up multiple times to get this done. Then, they kept following up with me for payment, SEVERAL times, even though the drywall hadn’t been fixed. It was eventually fixed, and I paid them, but I have no backwater valve – I sure hope I don’t have a flood or water backup…

They way they dealt with this situation was extremely disappointing as they never seemed to take ownership over their massive mistake. No matter what they reply back with to this review, I’d use cation before using them for a project.
