After I pointed out a discrepancy in the price of diced pork to a store representative, I left feeling confused and upset. The shelf tag showed a price of cad14.99 per kg, but I was charged cad16.99 per kg on my receipt. The representative told me the price was based on the weight of the individual package, indeed the package I took weighed exactly 1 kg.
I didn't want to cause trouble; I simply wanted the correct price. Other grocery stores would either admit to the wrong price and giving options to a rebate or I can return it without making a loss to the store. However, the representative's attitude made me feel like I was being silenced. She finally refunded me cad2.00, but with an unpleasant expression that left me feeling like a troublemaker, even though I was just trying to clarify.

Neat and tidy as a pin with a surprisingly wide selection of goods and groceries. The care and pride of the staff and management is evident from the moment you walk in the door and when you see employees interact with each other and the customers. Surprising variety despite the distance from major supply centres. It felt like the friendly neighbourhood grocery store only with more selection, and it was especially great to see so many young people working there! It's a little bit outside of downtown, but it's well worth the small, extra distance. Kudos to the team!

Has fresh produce and wharehouse pack sizes. Well lit and friendly helpful employees. I was impressed with the variety of frozen products carried. I thought the prices were reasonable for the distance products had travelled.

They have a decent stock of products here. I am shocked at the prices being from the city and it is amazing what local people have to spend on food here. Understandably the items have to be trucked in, but it is still shocking.

One of two main grocery stores in town. Stanton's has a great selection of produce, and food items. The store sells a lot of items that you would find at Costco, including all of the Kirkland products. They are open until 7 pm everyday, except for Sunday when they close at 5 pm.

Honestly you have to shop both Stanton and Northmart to get by in Inuvik. Stanton prices are best on ALL frozen goods and some produce but North Mart wins consistently on none frozen items and some produce.
