Sonata was very involved with our project from the start, meeting us on-site and and in-store multiple times with a wide selection of fabric selections, design concepts and ideas at a variety of price points (and answering our multitude of questions!). Bringing them into the project at framing stage allowed them to suggest ideas on achieving total blackout that we were able to implement. They were aware of our timelines and budget and worked within that. As someone who has purchased blinds through my homebuilder, and purchased blinds after receiving the keys to my home through Sonata, I would recommend getting quotes and purchasing elsewhere.

Sonatas' poor communication and performance left me frustrated with my end product. When dealing with Sonata, they are very disorganized. If you choose to do business with Sonata, I would communicate through email so that there is written record for your projects.

I decided to go to Sonata as they had the measurements of my house from installing blinds while my house is being built. I went back to have sheers made for my back door.

After selecting a sheer, the next step was going to be for a check measure prior to the sheer being ordered. When the sheer came in, it was the wrong width and had to be sent back to the tailor to be altered which delayed it a few weeks. Also at this appointment, the installers did forget the motor as well and needed to drive an hour to go get it.

When the installers installed the corrected sheer, the motor didn't work and the installers called tech support and after trying to troubleshoot the motor they said the sheer would need a new motor. I called Sonata right after and Nicole chose not to believe the installer and deal with it on her own and call tech support. Two weeks later, a new motor was ordered.

This business appears to contract out their installers and the people that came to my house were very friendly and did answer all my questions and seemed just as stressed as I was with this whole ordeal. With this being said, when you try to schedule installations or appointments with the installers through Sonata, they will have to call the installers to see if the appointment works. Sonata seems to be just a middle person between the customer and installer.

In summation, I hope this little story helps with your research. If you choose this business, I hope you don't have the same experiences.

I've known Nicole for a few years and have had here supply blinds for me, which I installed myself. The fit was great. I've also referred Nicole to customers of mine who have always been impressed with her ability to listen to what the customers’ needs/wants are, find the proper window covering at the budget the suggest. When I've gone back and seen and used their window coverings and they've just seemed right for the window and room. I love the options they have and wide range of fabric and colours.
