I had a fantastic experience working with Peter and his team, Andrew and John at Smiths Falls Building Supply. They not only provide high-quality and well priced materials, but have a team of skilled contractors to help you with many of your home renovation projects. My home needed quite a few updates and I started with my bathroom and main floor. They gutted and revamped my entire main bathroom, ripped out my carpet and installed luxury vinyl and even changed my hood fan in my kitchen. Needless to say, we spent a lot of time together and I can say that the job they completed was well done, they were professional yet personable (so important when you have people in your home), provided such good advice and we’re fast (super important with bathroom jobs especially!).

I was particularly thankful for Peter‘s advice. I had a very strict budget to work with and rather than spending time trying to upsell me on all of the latest and greatest, he provided suggestions to reduce labour costs and sourced an affordable shower system that would help me stay within my budget. He was very upfront about the extras so that there were no surprises. For example, he suggested where to place things so that plumbing didn’t have to be moved far distances, or placement of tiles so that I had less waste from cutting. For the flooring, he consulted with his team to ensure they started on a certain side and placement to reduce waste. He even reused baseboard pieces so I didn’t have to go and pay for new ones. Never did he make me feel like I was cheap either, which was so appreciated. He also helped me choose flooring that is extremely durable to pet scratches and water so that my flooring has longevity (as that is something I struggled with at my old place that had dark hardwood).

Peter and his team have been a staple in my family’s renovations projects and will continue to be for a long time. He did a great job renovating my uncles entire basement, my sister’s kitchen and my dad’s kitchen. All great work, high quality finishes at an affordable price, without surprises.

I just want to say thank you Peter, John and Andrew for all of the great work you did and the positive experience you provided me with my first-time renovation projects. Kitchen and stairs are next! Will see you again once I save up!

We recently bought an old farm house and have been renovating it over the last couple months. We happened to stumble on Smiths Falls Building Supplies while we were looking for places to buy flooring. My wife and I had just finished a full day of shopping for flooring and cabinets and other house items. Every place we went to the employees didn't seem invested in what we were doing. They just wanted us to hurry up and pick something, buy it and leave.

When we found Smiths Falls Building Supplies the next morning we decided to check it out. From the moment we walked in it was a completely different experience from the other suppliers. Peter spent 3 plus hours with us designing our kitchen layout and picking out flooring. He seemed truly invested and interested in what we were trying to do. He also gave us ideas and suggestions to make our kitchen look nicer. The following day, after the initial design, he asked if we wanted under cabinet lighting. When we went back to finalize the kitchen he had all the under cabinet lighting stuff laid out. It felt like he was our personal supplier. He never rushed us, or tried pushing us to just pick something and move on.

We bought all our flooring, cabinets and counter tops from Peter.
As we continue with our renovation I will be buying everything from Smiths Falls Building Supplies. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. The knowledge and customer service is truly unmatched.
