We recently had the pleasure of working with Smith Earthworks on a major landscaping project, and we could not be more impressed with their professionalism, craftsmanship, and dedication from start to finish.
From the very beginning, their team stood out by providing a clear, detailed, and fair quote that left no surprises. They arrived on site exactly when scheduled and maintained their timeline, even though the project presented some unexpected challenges with unsquared rocks.
What impressed us most was their skill and attention to detail when working with armourstone. Cutting and shaping these massive stones to fit seamlessly around culverts and into tight retaining wall spaces is no easy task, but their crew handled it with the precision of true craftsmen.
Over the course of the project, they successfully built two retaining walls, three culvert sides, and extended our driveway. The finished product is not only functional and solidly constructed but also visually stunning, blending naturally with the house and landscape.
Smith Earthworks exceeded our expectations—we recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and professional landscaping and earthworks services.

It is challenging these days to find a company that offers excellent service and accountability. A five-star rating for Smith Earthworks because they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, every time, from quote to work completed. They communicated with us throughout the service journey, so we knew what was happening and when. They left the project site better than they found it, and the employees were positive and respectful. The end of our driveway was damaged and severely undermined by the Remnants of Debby that came through August 2024. The original culvert, unknown to us prior, was well worn and rusted through. The process involved the need for Riley and his team to lift out the armour stone already in place. The stone was meticulously lifted out by layer and returned to its original position, and the old culvert was replaced without incident. I have included a few photos. The team was always respectful, diligent and efficient. From start to finish it was completed before dinner time. I had a number of estimates provided by different companies and Smith Earthworks was best, with a very clear understanding of what needed to be done and the best way to get it done. I would whole heartedly recommend Smith Earthworks as a reliable and honest company.

If I could score them higher than 5 stars I would. Earthworks is much more than a landscaping company. They did an incredible job on a strict budget that was not strayed from. Riley developed a solid plan to take a rough, unusable hill and turn it into a beautiful terrace. Issac is an amazing machine operator, who executed Riley’s plan meticulously. They are the real deal - true professionals. Thank you Riley & Issac. I could not be more happy and grateful ❤️
