This faculty made my career and grew me professionally and personally.

I have never seen a faculty go out of their way to ensure that they assist anyone who needs help and consistently provides any possible opportunity to every one of the students, regardless of their background.

The professors within this faculty come from a variety of facets and implement their own professional experiences to provide some insight into how to think out of the box and really apply yourself as a student. Although the design critiques can be harsh, as with any disciplines within design, they were always constructive and really aimed to push the students into thinking through a project thoroughly. We are being taught to be architects and designers who have an ethical, economical, and cultural responsibility.

As for the administrative staff, I could not praise this team more. The level of respect that is given to each student is unparallel. If we as students needed anything, we would be able to always get assistance in any possible way. I have seen and experienced this staff move mountains to ensure that their students are taken care of. From my personal experience, I graduated from this faculty in 2016 and am still provided assistance at the drop of the hat if I need help, which in the last few months, has been substantial, from obtaining records, clarification of recognition to foreign entities, and even providing written breakdowns of the curriculum and areas of focus.

No faculty or degree is perfect, however, this one absolutely obtains an impressively high level. I could not be more proud to have been part of this faculty as a student, and now as alumni. I would recommend this faculty and degree to anyone looking at going into architecture (of any form), and planning.

I am a current international student at SAPL, I must express that this school has provided me with ample opportunities and prioritized my well-being. Most faculty and staff members are genuinely invested in our success, and the school offers wellness spaces, neurodiversity support, and accessibility services.

Compared to my undergrad experience, SAPL has a more hands-on teaching style; the education's value is evident in the resources and opportunities provided. Disorganization is minimal, and the curriculum is well-structured.

Now that my last semester just ended, I want to review the school and present an accurate image of the University of Calgary's SAPL, hoping to guide future students with a balanced perspective on the positive experiences and opportunities I have received.

Very interesting showcase of student projects. The interior is modern and welcoming.

Overall, the department itself is fantastic. Lots of professional showcasing and networking events, anyone can register and participate.
