Utter garbage build quality. Nightmare issues with windows and basement. Basically zero warranty response. Now we get the roof inspected and find it's a mess as well. Run far away from this company. They are terrible. !67 defects on our first tarion claim, will be 500 on our next one. If we could give zero stars we would.
They fight every step of the way to fix nothing and accuse the homeowner of making up defects. As the water keeps on leaking in our windows. One year on our house looks like this all ripped apart as we wait for the rain and the leaks again. They just want to take your money.

We couldn't believe how dedicated and professional your staff Ken and Jeff were to travel a great distance this morning, through very dangerous road conditions to do work at our home in Tobermory. Both Ken and Jeff are to be commended for their quality of workmanship and professionalism! We are most impressed with the amazing service and quality of the materials and construction of our beautiful home! The will rip you off. Sadly our Royal Home delivered this year and apparently "finished" hasn't been a dream. Leaking windows that were poorly repaired, patches of paint missing, trim off, floor boards missing, gaps in the floor, basement flooding, new water tank broken, replacement new water tank also broken, plumbing leaks, kitchen island damaged. It has been a nightmare. Edit: Over 160 defects and issues on our January 2025 6 monthly Tarion report

We have just taken possession of our new Royal Homes-Bala LE model home and we are thrilled! From start to finish working with the Royal Homes team has been efficient and seamless! They are very friendly and professional, understanding that your average person (me!) does not know very much about construction ! They take the guesswork out and explain everything in advance. The design process was super fun (thanks Ashley) and the options and quality of the material they use is great!
The delivery of the house to our property was an unreal experience that I’m glad I got to see! Happy day!
As I write this review I am sitting in my cozy living room almost a year to date from when we started the process and that was during this most difficult year of Covid19! So thank you Ashley, Mark, Pierre, Andrew and everyone else who took part in making our home in Muskoka!

Had the best experience with Royal Homes. From start to finish, the professionalism of all the staff was top notch. Whether it was the office staff, the sales rep, or the guys who came onsite, everyone was always friendly and able to help us when needed. We really enjoyed the plant tour, and got to see our home while we were there.

The Royal Homes factory is a sight to see. They've nailed down an impressive process here, and the end results are nothing like what you'd expect from a 'prefab' home. The crew were super nice and very informative in answering my questions (and they didn't mind me taking notes, either!)

We built a new cottage by Royal Homes. Decided based on the reputation they have. It turned into a complete nightmare and continues to be. The deck construction was subcontracted out to private company. The quality is a complete joke. A grade 12 student could do a better job in school wood working. There are two sets of stairs without any type of slab at the bottom. The wood is resting on the ground to rot. There a numerous other things wrong like gaps in the siding and soffits, no rtv around siding trim. Unfinished walls in hidden corners. Floor is raising and probably buckle soon. These guys cut so many corners it’s not funny, very poor craftsmanship and quality all round.

We have tried to contact them on many occasions and basically get the run around. Soon it will be heading to a firm to pursue legal action. They don’t seem to get it, do it right or don’t bother. Stay away from this company, very poor quality and some stuff not to code.
