Very poorly managed company. When we closed we came into a house with so many issues and after 30 days of living here we still have all the major issues. We have a leak in the basement and we keep telling the site supervisor to fix a water leak as its going to cause more damage. But his response is the same we booked plumbers and they will come in tomorrow. And tommorow they never show up. This is how they handle everything. They just lie to your face and never follow up. It's been really stressful. When it was time to pay they had no issues taking our hard earned money. Now when its time to do the work they are too busy. Worst company ever and we will never do business with these people again as they are liers and in my opinion thieves as they took the money and are not finishing the job. Just look at our current bathroom after 30 days of living here. Thwy just don't care as they already took our money.

Adding to Gagan’s review and reply from Empire,
It is being 5 years. How much more time you need to return the deposit where you did nothing to my lot.
Your team is in touch with us but just making fake promises and buying more time. Look like the builder is bank corrupt and with holding these deposits they are paying their employees.

Also builder received grading approval last year and this is February how much longer we have to wait for the deposit.
This builder is not worth of cost or our trust. Don’t buy house from Empire.

This is the worst experience of buying house and fighting for every single day with new managers with same answer. “WE ARE WORKING”

They dont return your grading deposits that they collect at the time of purchase. The run around they give you is insane. It’s been 5 years (deadline) and nothing. They just ignore you. My entire street is forced to sue them now. Do NOT buy with them. You will regret it.

I have been living in this community for over a year now. Built quality is pathetic. Cheap material, poor grading of land, layout of land. Builder has tried to save every penny possible in construction and fool home buyers.
When it rains, water gets accumulated in backyard or your backyard is so damp that you can’t walk there.
House is 3 years old but already feels like 10-15 years old because of cheap construction.
Every contractor who has come to inspect our basement or do work in the basement has told us builder has built very poor basement and they are either highly unqualified or they want to save money in everything.

Living here since 1 year and I must say everyday is a new challenge in or outside the house. I would advice the people not to buy a house here as it is a land of mosquitos, spiders, bad smell from grand river, break-ins ,no proper grading, rain water management, not much ammentities in the community center and most of all, the company services is highly disappointing. It might be a dream for you to buy a house but these people will make it a nightmare. Quality of construction is extremely poor, my house is just 3 year old but it feels like 10 year old. So I highly hope you read all the reviews about the area, empire communities and make your decision after that. TALK to people in the area before buying.

Never buy a house from empire Riverland again ,, very bad quality, not even 2 year water leaking from roof down to washroom,, pumping in the basement all stuck, water everywhere never and ever buy a house from them again

If I could give this builder a zero, I would. This is by far the worst experience I have had with a new construction. We moved in October 27 and we are yet to have our PDI items resolved. Construction does not follow up promptly and picks and choose what they will address. Our three bathrooms all have upgraded white tiles with ugly yellow grout. Our master shower light is not even installed properly and a lot of the tiles are chipped. Very poor craftsmanship. When we reached out to address this, we found that construction blames service and vice versa. Our garage door frame was installed crooked and one of our bedrooms floor is unlevelled. This has been a great disappointment for our family. We would never recommend this builder. Phase 2 has been completed horribly. Save your money!

There are no words to describe the incompetence, unprofessionalism, poor quality and lack of integrity of this builder. Almost 1 year into addressing PDI and 30 day items, we are not even half way through getting deficiencies taken care of. Every time they come in to address an issue, they manage to screw it up even more, creating more rework. I have dealt with many other builders in the past and this has by far been the worst experience you could ever imagine. They are cheap in hiring the right workers to do the job, are not true to their word and keep leading their customers on. I would add pictures to show some examples of their incompetence, but there is just too much to share. Stay away from this builder at all costs.
