Had a great and positive experience with RC, from the moment they gave me the quote, to the time the project was finished.

Absolutely the worst experience with contractors I’ve ever had. A total nightmare from start to finish. Never. Again.

We had our kitchen cabinets completely re faced--- Ted and the team were so easy to work with, extremely accommodating to ideas, changes/ additions and very responsive to all questions and requests. The quotes and prices were excellent, the workman ship superb. The Kitchen was complete in a very timely manner. We love our kitchen and all the little extras that were added. We also love they have kept contact and have come into our home 2x to fix things we had broken. We are hoping to hire this company in 2023 for our flooring and trims. Thank Ted and the entire team at RC Construction!

One of the recent wind storms blew down a section of our fence, and RC Construction were one of the businesses we reached out to for a quote. They responded to my email within an hour and had someone out the same day to have a look and provide a quote. They followed up with us before we had even received quotes from other businesses and were very attentive and helpful. They were able to quickly schedule us in before the cold weather hit, arrived when they said they would, and finished the job quickly, professionally, and right in line with the quote. We are very happy with their work and would highly recommend them!

Team installed a new step-in tub. They did great work. Install went like clockwork. Finished project on time and left work area clean at the end of each day. Will continue to use them for future projects.

This company was sent to me via Home Depot. They replace my bathtub and tiled the area around the tub. The job took a lot longer than promised and the tiling looks far less than professional with rough cut edges, improperly sized cuts, uneven tiles and trim and inconsistent grout color. The beads of silicone are also very uneven. They were willing to make good on the job whick would have meant tearing out most of the tiles and wall behind, risking tub damage. It was more than I wanted to go through again without any promise of a better result.

NEVER buy a home built by them. Within 2 years of buying my new home from them, the basement flooded due to improper backfilling and collapsed sewer pipe on the property. The deck slats have huge spaces inbetween where pets get their legs hurt and chair legs fall thru. The metal deck rails constantly fall off with the slightest breeze. The house was built too low - the rest of the property is higher, so the sump pump goes on very often, and the basement has flooded again due to that. The roof shingles started breaking off within 3 years - were not sealed down properly and I had to pay to get them all removed and have new shingles put on. And on and on. Just beware.

RC Construction built our home roughly 10 years ago now - and I really wish we had known more about home construction or had a professional with us when we had completed our final walk through.
- The deck that spans the length of our home was built before backfilling was complete, leaving a large ‘ditch’ under the deck beside our foundation. And the sump pump conveniently drained directly above this lovely ditch as well.
- Eavestroughs were not installed with any slope and in some areas, did not have any drainage whatsoever - leading to the roof of our covered porch sagging over the years.
- The large deck, previously mentioned, was built with gaps between the boards large enough that the standard round legs of patios furniture fall between the boards - rather unpleasant when elderly company come to visit and the back 2 legs of their chair fall between the boards. Appears to have been done this way because they were a few boards short to complete the deck, so instead of having to return to a rural location with more material, they must have just increased all of the gaps.
- Backsplash/Shower Trim was never installed.
- Rough-In for a basement bathroom, the sewer connection was never properly capped. It was stuffed with a couple rags and duct taped with concrete overtop. Took a long time and busting up the concrete to find the source of the occasional sewer odour wafting through the basement.
However, any deficiencies we were able to identify at the time of possession (or shortly thereafter) were taken care of. It was our mistake for being young, excited newlyweds and not knowledgeable enough to identify these other items at the time.
