Tragically lost our home in the Tantallon wildfires last year but thanks to the entire team at Ramar, we were able to rebuild and return home quicker then we imagined. We cannot thank them enough. Extremely accommodating, caring and took all our needs and wants into consideration. Would highly recommend building with their team.

Wife and I recently decided to build a new house with Ramar. Did the whole process, walked the lot, picked out fixtures, plans done up and ready to sign.

Inquired about a few upgrades and Ramar was charging 4-5x more above cost. When we questioned why it was "if you don't like it too bad attitude". Still, we were willing to sign and they couldn't even give us the time of day and only wanted to communicate through email. We were also working with a real estate agent through this process.

Glad to say we walked away from the deal. Save yourself the stress. Lots of other great builders in the city.

Ramar built our new home 10 years ago and they did a great job... Our house is rock solid and very well built and lots of nice highend details ( I took over after painting and used my own finish trades... All went nice as the house was super tight and level ).

I often thought about doing a review and just got caught up, so I thought I'd take the time to say thank you.

3 key peeople I would like to thank... Scott Sim, Gerry England, and Daryl Marchand as these three men were instrumental in helping us build our Dream Home.

I have tried contacting 4 times to discuss a tree on a property they just bought that blew over on my shop but nobody can be bothered returning my call.

Nothing but problems with a 3 year old house. Countertops warping, soffits falling off leading to birds and mice in house, shingles falling off due to not being tarred and improperlly installed ( confirmed by a experienced roofer) flood and water damaged roof as a result, etc.... Tried multiple times for them to address any of our issues and were consistently let down or told there is nothing that they will do about it (act of nature?! Definitely not poor craftsmanship...) Ramar doesn't care about their customers and only use the cheapest materials and workmanship to make a buck. DO NOT buy a Ramar house! There are many other builders in Halifax which are miles ahead in quality and customer service!
