Three main issues I have with this company.

1) I used floor plans that were done by this company for a project only to find countless mistakes in the floor plans. The floor plans were of a four storey building in Hamilton. Each floor had a different outdoor and indoor length, width, and overall measurements. How can the second floor be longer than the first, or the third be longer than the fourth. Keep in mind that this building is completely rectangular. The size of each window and space between each window varied by level and within each level. Interior walls were also different dimensions. The stairs and elevator on each floor were different sizes. The interior partitions were different sizes throughout. The ceiling and floor heights varied throughout especially with elevated tiny washrooms. The column sizes and places varied for each column and by level. An opening through all the floors was also different sizes on each floor. The floor plans looked like each floor was measured by a different person. It also looked like the company did not care to measure properly. According to code and to the building itself, the walls, columns, elevator shaft, stairs, and windows are aligned and have the same measurements throughout. This plan makes it look like an oddly shaped tetris or jenga, when the reality is much different. Awful floor plans.
2) When I contacted Planit Measuring about another set of floor plans, I was directed to Vimal. I understand being busy but he took forever to ask me what my inquiry was about and has never gotten back to me since.
3) The company isn't helpful if you're a student and even willing to pay for existing floor plans. Also not helpful in any student inquiry

Look somewhere else before you contact this company.

When we called we needed a layout done quickly & they promptly gave us a date to get the job done.
The technician did a great job. He arrived on time (actually early if I recall) worked quickly and gave us an accurate layout of our property that we used extensively with our engineers & contractors.
I felt their fees were reasonable.
Overall, I was very impressed w their service. I would use PLANiT Measuring again & will recommend them to friends.

Though I didn’t see the CAD process in action, I know that there is a lot that goes into the final deliverable of PDF and CAD files! So thanks to Sherry Malekzadeh and Ilja Ferbers for all of their help with the usable files that were ultimately delivered to us and that a number of professionals will refer to for our lease and renovation.
