I never know when to write a review for a contractor as often they are great until everything winds down, then they vamoose!

Tom was instrumental in the renovation and restoration of our century Heritage, commercially-zoned property in downtown Collingwood. It was a complicated project made more so by Covid and all the various legislative challenges beset on the conversion to a small hotel.

I don't have time to get into the scope and scale of project, for that, feel free to reach out. But recently my family just 'test drove' the property on Thanksgiving weekend (as we are more silent partners). Everything was great and we were really enjoying the new space - until the last morning when my shower leaked and the stack backed up into the new powder room toilet, partially flooding the lounge (2 different issues). We shut the place down and I called Tom. Tom, who btw has had a man from his crew on site during all of the opening procedures, installing, moving, changing, checking, fixing tweaking; Tom, answered his phone and he and the plumber were on site within minutes (literally) of my call. He never complained and was there to help. And help he did. The next day everything was fixed. He also took the opportunity to make a few quick other fixes!

For me Tom has passed all my personal 'tests' of character, skill and acumen. We are now loyal to Tom as we feel he is loyal to us. I highly recommend Tom. He will never tell you what he doesn't know, he will never make promises he can't keep and he'll always be there for you. If you want a contractor that will tell you what you want to hear, good luck with that, don't say I didn't warn you. Tom is worth every penny.

Tom and his crew did some work for us on some water damage from a burst pipe in our basement that destroyed one room and half the hallway .Fantastic job! Excellent with communication and was really pleased at the end result. All the dry wall was finished beautifully and the floor looks amazing! Would definitely recommend!

We hired Peak Living and Tom McCrae to renovate our ensuite bathroom, including a new, enlarged tiled shower, new flooring and toilet. He also replaced the flooring in our laundry room and guest bathroom. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and willing to work to our specifications, along with offering his experience and knowledge to ensure the results we wanted. He is extremely flexible and as any little changes popped up he accommodated them for us with a smile.
We are extremely happy with our 'new' bathroom and highly recommend Tom and Peak Living. If we have any further renovations in the future, Peak Living will be our first, and probably only, call.
