I had a very frustrating experience with Paul Davis during the repair project of my basement apartment. What was supposed to be a straightforward repair project turned into an ordeal that lasted a shocking five and a half months. All they needed to do was replace some vinyl flooring, baseboard, and a small section of drywall after my sump pump failed.

First and foremost, the quality of workmanship was abysmal. The finishes were poorly done, and I had to deal with sloppy installations and unfinished areas. It was clear that attention to detail was not a priority for them.

But the lack of professionalism didn’t stop there. They sent tradesmen to my apartment without my consent and with no prior notice to me. This caused unnecessary disruptions for my tenant, and I was never given the proper heads-up, which led to confusion and frustration on both ends.

Even worse, Paul Davis didn’t have the decency to keep me informed throughout the process. I was left completely in the dark, never being contacted to confirm whether the job was completed or not. Communication was non-existent. It was as if they forgot about my project entirely once they had started, leaving me to chase them down for updates.

They moved the refrigerator back without installing the baseboard. You can see the quality of install from the attached photo. Tried to get me to sign off everything via FaceTime as I no longer reside in Fort McMurray. Placed the flooring transition strips in place but they were water damaged. Had to wait another month to get new transition strips installed. Luckily I drove from Calgary to Fort McMurray to review their workmanship and find the unfinished work.

Overall, my experience with Paul Davis was nothing short of disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone, especially if you value quality, professionalism, and proper communication. This repair project was a nightmare from start to finish.
