Paradise Developments executed a phenomenal product in our new home. I am a real estate broker myself and see hundreds of homes per year and I was so very impressed with the cleanliness and craftsmanship when I received my keys. I was able to move in right away with ease. Anyone who has anything else to say, has not seen what’s out there and how builders are delivering their product to their consumers. Closing is always on time, the property was clean, finished to perfection, the staff from head office, Decor and Customer care made every step of the process easy. They give what they promise and are an incredible builder from top to bottom. I have referred them to many of my own clients as they are one of the only builders I can trust and will continue to do for the years to come. They are a production builder with a custom home approach. You will always receive a reply, call back and solution. Our site super Piero and Team are taking care of the most detailed items in our home to ensure absolute perfection. We really can’t thank you all enough for your attention and service.

UPDATE: After 10 long months of repairs and ongoing appointments, things are finally improving—thanks to Piero Ligori and his team, Luis and Kevin.

Piero’s commitment to ensuring deficiencies are properly addressed, despite working with less-than-cooperative contractors, is a testament to his care, compassion, and understanding of frustrated homeowners. His advocacy and hands-on approach—treating each issue as if it were his own home—set a standard that many site managers should follow.

We remain hopeful that the remaining deficiencies will be resolved soon and that more site managers and client care staff will adopt his level of dedication in delivering quality workmanship. If Piero is managing the next phase, future buyers can rest assured they’re in good hands.

They’re called Paradise Homes – but it’s A Nightmare Experience

Blocked sewage, leaking roof for months, damaged floors, walls and ceilings, no grass to enjoy back yard.
We were the first owners to move into the new development/community, and from the very beginning, everything went wrong. Our experience with Paradise Homes has been a continuous cycle of poor workmanship, neglect, and endless delays. The first two site managers, Anthony and Kevin, failed to follow up or make any progress, and it wasn’t until a third manager was assigned—after multiple assessments and us proving the damage—that work finally began. However, it’s now been six months and counting, and there are still unresolved deficiencies.

Major Issues from Day One
Sewage Pipe Blocked with Concrete: On move-in day, we couldn’t use any water in the house—no toilets, showers, or sinks—because the sewage pipe was completely blocked with concrete. This left us unable to move in for three days. A brand-new house that wasn’t even functional.

Leaking Roof: Despite daily multiple notifications to the builder and site managers, the roof wasn’t properly assessed or repaired for over 2.5 months. During that time, water leaked into the house, damaging the walls, window frames, and flooring. The ceiling in the garage was also damaged, and drywall began falling on our car. Our newly installed hardwood floors were ruined in the process.

Mold: We expressed concerns multiple times about the potential for mold growth due to the water damage. The builder did nothing to address it, only said “it’s a new home you can’t have mould, you need to trust us, no need to assess or repair anything”. Eventually, we purchased our own moisture reader and contacted a mold remediation company, which reported severe mold growth that required immediate treatment.
Only after we escalated the damage to Tarion did damages start getting properly repaired. Prior to that the builders plan was a “bandaid” resolution by coving over with calking and some paint.

Ongoing Construction and Delays
The construction/repair of the bedroom and floor deficiency process has dragged on for six months—and it’s still not finished. We had workers at the house almost every day, disrupting our work-life schedules, and despite all the visits, the repairs were half-hearted and incomplete. One glaring example: the patio door and frame required four separate appointments, each time with missing or broken parts.

We were first owners, yet the entire neighbourhood had its grass installed—except for our block unit. All the other units, many of which are still unoccupied or rentals, had their lawns ready by the mid summer. The two owners (us and out neighbours) who moved in early, like us, were left without grass, and our dogs are left running around in mud.

Final Thoughts: Avoid Paradise Homes
From start to finish, the experience has been a disappointment. Paradise Homes has shown a total lack of professionalism. After six months of constant repairs, we still have unresolved issues. If you’re considering building with this company, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
