We purchased our home from Pacific Homes around 15 years ago. I am pleased today as I was when we had just built it. The quality of the materials they use are first rate. The lumber is top grade, even the dreaded building inspector was impressed with the overall package. The house is on the Olympic peninsula and subject to seismic activity. There are NO cracks or settling. Their engineered lumber is as good as steel. The roof trusses were works of art, It was sad we had to cover them in insulation and drywall. Would I recommend them, absolutely. If I plan to ever build again. They would be the first group I would call.

I can't believe you were able to take our house plans from Poland to this incredible structure in Courtenay, BC, and in no time flat. It was awesome watching those wall panels get installed.

Dean Verschuur of Coastal Custom Homes and his site lead Josh Estlin are incredible builders. Their communication is on point, proactive, open and honest. They kept us in the loop with regular photo updates. They had developed solutions to hiccups before approaching us which, took all the stress out of the process. They have partnered with the BEST sub trades and suppliers, the work site is immaculately clean and organized the whole way through construction. They make excellent recommendations and, make us feel like they are truly looking out for us. Their work is incredibly good.

We would gladly build another house with Pacific Homes and the Coastal Custom Homes crew. (but we love this house)

Orsi and Jan were first class through the whole process. Long process for us as we designed and built during Covid. They never stopped with outstanding service even long after payments were completed. Every change and every question or issue during our dream home build has been addressed. Service, Quality, Value. Pacific Homes pre-sales, during sales, and post- sales service was outstanding. Scott Robertson worked with us, answering questions, providing advice, problem solving, and even visiting our site, for 2 years before we committed to a purchase. From design to delivery and beyond, everyone was helpful and positive. Post-sales service has also been great from everyone we have had contact with. Questions were answered quickly, issues were resolved effectively. The quality of the product is second to none. Many people familiar with construction have commented positively on the quality of everything Pacific Homes has supplied; the lumber grade and consistency would be hard to match from most regular suppliers; Windows, siding, roofing materials were all from quality manufactures. The value of the product is excellent. The fit and finish of the materials is outstanding. We have the Smartwall system which is already proving itself to be a huge benefit. Installing and finishing drywall through a rainy September, we have been able to heat the entire house with a space heater. We are impressed by how infrequently it comes on yet the entire 3000 sq ft home is comfortable. We highly recommend Pacific Homes for service, quality and value.

There was a critical problem with the dimensions of the footings and only a follow up inquiry from the Pacific Homes representative Paul Latter saved the day. The whole house would have been sitting on only 2.5" of the concrete basement walls so Pacific homes adjusted the house size to fit perfectly. Overall this was a very good house construction experience dealing with this company because of the quality, helpfulness, workmanship and on time delivery. Thank you.

Absolutely Awful Experience. Not what we expected. We hired Pacific Homes to build our custom dream home and there were signs from the beginning we should have backed out. Meeting room was a disorganized mess filled with samples “no longer available”. Video calls were done on a webcam from 1995 and often didn’t work. And the Terrible communication skills were just the beginning. Plan design is outsourced and not done in house - 3rd party company tried to Bill us as well as paying Pacific Homes. Every time we had a change we got an eye roll and we’re made to feel bad about it. They could not be bothered with trying to source material options and gave us little to no options responding with constant excuses.
They have no idea about current building codes and what is required. We finally broke the contract and walked away. DO NOT USE PACIFIC HOMES!
