I havent actually worked with Ottawa Structural, but had a very positive interaction with Micheal, the general manager. I called me after I sent a request for a quote even if they did have the intention to quote, due to the job falling outiside their regular scope of work. Took the time to explain some details and propose a solution aligned with our need, even if they werent going to do the work themselves. All in all, you could tell he was looking out for my best interest and he also referred me to another contractor that was likely able to assist, where most contractors wouldnt have bothered to reply or would have tried to sell me a solution that didnt fit my need.

Your team did what they said they would do by scheduling the dates we need to answering our questions on-site and bringing in other expertise when we looked at making additional changes.

When we set out to have our basement waterproofed we had concerns with doing the job on the interior.

I had 3 other companies come in to give me an estimate for a leak in my basement before Ottawa Structural came in. The first 3 companies left me feeling uneasy and not at all confident in finding someone who wasn’t looking to cut corners or sell me something unnecessary.

The first visit from Ottawa Structural made me feel comfortable and confident that the leak could be fixed. No up selling, no bizarre suggestions that I received from a few others. Very straight forward and honest right from the start. I signed the contract that very day and the work was started and completed within a week. Jen was exceptional in customer service as well. Her communication was top notch. The work was done efficiently and quickly. The workers worked really hard to dig the 6 feet in the cold. They were professional and hard working. They cleaned up everything each day and the point of excavation looks even better than it did before.

From beginning to end, this company is total pro! Mike walked us through our foundation issue, from what was happening to what he and his team would do to repair it. Foundation issues are scary, and pretty much every other company we brought in only made issues with worse with worst case scenarios and houses crumbling and everything else (one even went so far as a 50k quote to redo my garage!), but Mike was professional, level headed and honest. Job was booked and planned out, the guys showed up, got the job done and that's it. Shane and his crew were super friendly and polite as well. Would definitely go with Ottawa Structural again (though hopefully we don't need to!) and would recommend Ottawa Structural for your foundation needs! Thanks again guys!

This company came to us highly recommended for a significant residential foundation repair (200k+) due to flood damage. We almost pulled the plug within 5 minutes of meeting their rep who did nothing but criticize all of the emergency measures we as homeowners took when dealing with the flood. The only reason we didn't was because we were told they could fix the home with us still living in it which was a huge relief. From that point forward communications were sporadic. The rep consistently badmouthed other organizations even "partners" that were brought into help with the quotes. This was not confidence inspiring. The rep was rude enough to me in front of my engineer that I had to speak to her and remind her that I was the client and ask her not to do that again.

We had to apply for disaster assistance due to the extent of the damage as our insurance only covered approximately 40%. I made it clear multiple times that the repair quote was holding up our funding. Despite this, multiple site visits and the passage of time, a quote was never provided. I finally gave up and in desperation started calling other organizations. The other companies sent more seasoned professionals than OSRS and provided me with written quotes within 5 business days. They were polite, professional, and prompt. The difference in professionalism was startling and made OSRS seem somewhat amateurish by comparison. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone.

The experience was not at all what I expected given the glowing recommendation I had received. Something has clearly changed.

Truly a company in it for the long haul, and with the repeat customer in mind. Mike O'Neill spent about an hour of his time talking me through options in my cinder block garage, which was developing a series of cracks. Ultimately, we arrived at an approach in which I would use other services (a mason) and monitor the cracks, contacting Ottawa Structural only if and when this approach didn't work. I don't know of many people and firms who would be so candid and honest. They're at the top of my list next time I need structural/foundation advice and services.
