We chose My House Design/Build Team as we were impressed by their reputation, organization and ability to coordinate multiple trades. Our whole-floor renovation is now complete and we are thrilled with the results.
Communication with the Team was excellent. Numerous floor plans were drawn to scale with cross-sections that let us visualize the layouts.
The renovation was overseen by an experienced project coordinator. It included demolition, re-routing of wiring and plumbing, wall-board installation/modification and plastering, painting and laying of flooring, and tiling. High quality finish-carpentry included cabinet work, and installation of extensive floor- and crown moldings.
Without exception the trades were professionals, communicated well, provided suggestions along the way and were excellent at their craft.

Our family is incredibly grateful to MyHouse Design/Build Team for the renovations in 2023 that have transformed our home. The project included updates to our kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, family room, and the great room. They also replaced our outdated 1970s furnace with a high-efficiency gas furnace and a tankless hot water system. Additionally, they initiated necessary roof repairs, replaced the home’s drainage system, and insulated the house to make it comfortable and energy-efficient.

Before we even purchased our home, Brent, our project consultant, went above and beyond to help us select the right property. Corley, our designer and initial project manager, was a guiding force throughout the renovation. She kept us within budget and skillfully suggested alternatives when our ideas began to exceed our financial plans. Corley understood our vision and style perfectly, finding materials and solutions that met our expectations without compromising on quality. Her attention to detail and commitment to both style and cost-effectiveness truly set her apart.

The founder and general manager, Graeme, ran a business that truly offered a one-stop-shop experience. His team had every resource needed to make a renovation successful. They provided liaisons to handle permits with the city, architects and engineers to ensure structural integrity in major modifications (like when we removed walls and posts to open up the great room), and a full range of trades—from plumbers and electricians to carpenters. It was seamless and comprehensive.

Of course, the true test of a renovation project is when complications and delays arise. Partway through construction, there was a change in project manager, and Chris took over from Corley. Although we initially worried about the transition, Chris and his construction manager, Justin, handled it seamlessly. They navigated unexpected challenges, such as increases in labor and material costs post-COVID, and executed the project brilliantly despite these hurdles.

Brent, Corley, Graeme, Chris, Justin, and the entire MyHouse team turned our house into a space perfectly suited to our family’s needs, whether for entertaining or for our teenagers to study and hang out. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a team that combines professionalism, creativity, and genuine care for their clients.
