Great little museum. Loved all the Heartland displays. Got my friend some great little gifts from here! Honestly great little museum for a small town and they gave us a really cool map of the different places shows have een filmed there. i fyou go to the Noble Tea House, make a plan to stop here after.

I always enjoy stopping in here whenever I visit Alberta! The staff is so friendly and I love seeing the Heartland stuff no matter how many times I’ve seen it all! Wish that the Heartland display was bigger like it used to be since the Museum is in the town where Heartland is home, but it is still a must see stop on your travels! Thanks for always being so kind and welcoming 🙂

My suggestion is that if you are going to look around High River and especially the Heartland filming locations then this is a good place to start. Not sure if part of the museum but there is a cafe in an old railway carriage and we wished we'd seen it before going elsewhere.
We went to High River because of the Heartland TV series but learnt so much more like that fact that the original Christopher Reeve Superman was filmed there and the really nice lady told me about Tin Star that I avidly watched when home and now put the TV series down as a classic.
If you are an Heartland TV fan then maybe give the museum a call and cheekily ask then if there will be any filming during your trip so you can plan accordingly and maybe get to see some of the stars and get autographs.

It was a lovely experience visiting the museum. The staff was great. They welcomed me when I enters the building and made sure to thank me and say goodbye as I left. They were great at knowing all about heartland and showing on a map other cool interesting filming sites within the town. They had some great recommendations for places to get coffee and food within the town. There was a heartland quiz that was challenging as there were questions from earlier season I couldn’t remember. I am really glad I took the 45 minute drive from Calgary to see this museum.
