Very poor customer service.We were trying to reach someone to find out how much it would cost to fill the box of the truck. I rang the bell, I called the number listed outside the store. No response. We were there for about 10 minutes waiting. When we were just about to leave. This pick up truck pulls in the parking lot. The lady comes out of the truck and tells us she is the owner and we better not have filled the truck with wood or we would be in trouble. We said no but wanted to buy 1/2 face cord of wood. She told us she does not sell by face cord only by the rack. We said ok and left. We went down the road to Shady Oaks where we got excellent service. Shady Oaks does not sell by face cord either but she made us a reasonable offer and we filled up the box of the truck. Sorry for your loss Mellin's.

Friendly people, prixe is good for their wood haha. Had a nostalgic feel to the place as I recall going here or at least a place super similar to this one with my Dad many moons ago on our family camp excursions to what was then Ipperwash.

Can't speak to how good the firewood is because every rack they had for sale was a denomination of $5, $15, $25, etc. I only had 20's and didn't think loading wood and being my own cashier deserved a $5 tip. Next time I'll bring some 5's then I'll update the review too!

Went here last night to get firewood. The wood is huge first of all and no good unless your fire is already blazing hot. We were trying to find pieces that were smaller and apparently we were taking too long because the ring notified us we were being recorded. We also only had a $20 and there is a $15 self serve rack. We were going to take a full rack plus a third (equates to $5) and the lady said “take a few more pieces” for $5. Totally uncomfortable experience. Don’t have self serve if you’re going to record your customers. Just bag the wood in bundles prior and people will know how much to take rather than feeling uncomfortable being recorded and talked down to over a camera. Awful customer service and business. And after all that, the wood would not burn well. Would not recommend.

3 cords of old wood that burned very quickly. Less than 2 months burning. Not good wood with a poor mix. Expensive and very disappointed. Beware!

Very unpleasant experience. As soon as we pulled up a lady on camera started talking to us through a microphone telling us we were being watched. We had called ahead and we’re told we could fill up the back of the truck with slab wood for $40-50. The camera lady said no initially and we had to wait for 10mins for her to try to figure things out. Finally comes back and said we could fill up for 60. After that she yelled at us for not “throwing the wood in” apparently we were “stacking it in” which is not allowed. We were both blown away with how rude and creepy the whole experience was. We definitely won’t be coming back.

They were very knowledgeable. Able to tell me what wood to use to start the fire and then keep it going (new to camping). Very nice and easy to talk to. Now that I have a trailer in the area, plan to go there often. Even had cool items in the store to purchase.
