On Aug 28, 2024 I noticed a maple leaf construction truck (about as big a a standard dump truck), weaving in and out of single lane traffic northbound on highway 8 headed towards Gimli. First occurrence was Wednesday Aug 28, 2025 at around 6:30pm. Not just a little aggressive, a lot. Coming close to 2 feet of other motorist bumpers at at least 110km. He was traveling at least 120-125kph in traffic clearings. Then yesterday I was on the same highway a little earlier (around 5:30pm) and noticed him coming in my rear view. So I slowed my cruise control to 100kph to allow him to pass as I did not want to be aggressively tailgated. He was no where near me yet but I slowed to anticipate his reckless ways and was ready to yield. He then caught up to me (of course he would as he speeds 15-25kph over the limit), he had clearance to move over and pass, and instead he comes within 1.5 feet of my bumper before he proceeds to start his pass.

I drive with my children in a responsible manner and I expect other people to as well, this was not the case and it was multiple times. It’s sad but when the driver finally kills someone then Maple leaf construction will do something about letting reckless drivers drive their equipment.

I am not the only person who has running with unprofessional, reckless, careless drivers they allow, read more reviews below.

If I ever need construction projects done, or any of the businesses I deal with require it, they will never even be a consideration.

East bound cheif peguis bridge down to one lane so 4 people could work on a small section of the bridge. It's a non residential area so you would expect maple leaf construction to work late to get these projects done in a timely manner. People gotta work but stop creating work , time for tax payers to start policing these corrupt construction companies. Why should my tax dollars go to these people who rip up a road in November when you know you won't finish in time just so you can rip it up again 5 months later !? It is Saturday today and I am guessing noone is working. I friend of mine has friends in road construction, he's says the boss tells the workers to "milk it" all the time.

Some old guy driving a maple leaf construction truck stopped an inch away from my car as if there were two lanes of traffic. I moved up and over as this employee was clearly unhinged. He also proceeded to scream verbal abuse at me. There were not two lanes which is why he had to speed up to cut me off. Idk what kind of company lets people like this drive their veichles. 03/04/23 @ 6:35 am a Maple Leaf pickup going north on east perimeter, not using signals and speeding, I tried to see how fast it was going and I reached over 120 km/h at a 100 km zone and at the lights in 80 km zone it not slowed down. Pickup number MF415 Lic plate # CGP 077 MB. Guess this company don't care about safety

The Maple Leaf team of Nick, Dillan, John, Anthony, Chase, Chris and the truck drivers (who are not just truck drivers) have been amazing. Their professionalism and courteous behavior has been a pleasure to deal with. They have what seems like a monopoly on road work in Winnipeg. They are fantastic at putting up barricades and ripping up streets. After that you don't see any work being done and if so it's a small crew picking away at it. And these job sites stay like that for months. Ness at Whytewold, Charleswood bridge, Ness towards st James street.

They need some competition.

This company is an absolute joke. All they do is rip up as many roads as possible and then leave them all summer. Start something and finish it fast! Why rip up 100 things and then finish them one by one? Makes no sense!

The rudest workers I've ever come across. Swearing at people going into stores, no clue how to use signs, almost ran down an old man coming out of the pharmacy. I could go on .if I could give zero stars I would.
