We had our home built by M & H Wood Specialties in 2010.
It has been 10 years, and to this day, every time we look at it from any angle we are amazed and happy with our decision.
People that drive by, slow down to look at it, some even back up after they passed it. 🙂
Our friends that have been here so many times, each time they come they can't stop saying how beautiful it is.
Back then we got quotes from different log builders, most of them were from BC - all prices were comparable, so we chose M & H because it was local business and we figured we can watch every step of building process ( while being built in their yard ) instead answering questions and resolving issues via phone or email.
The quality of work is amazing.
Paul, Jeff and the rest of the crew is knowledgeable and willing to listen. We had special requests that were accommodated without question.
We received instructions about maintaining it, and we followed these instructions diligently.
The result is absolutely amazing, and we have told this many times to Paul and Jeff. I wanted to share this with public in case you're searching for a company to build your home or to have any kind of log project done.

I have worked with Paul Murray many times over the years. He has shown patience and kindness in creating my daughter's log bed frame to dog houses and bar stools. Getting my new home built by Paul has turned into a nightmare. He made several changes at whim and did not build according to the blueprints. He has lied repeatly to Superior codes and to Travellers and once caught in those lies and told to make structural repairs has continued to lie claiming to have made repairs that have yet to be made and he has been caught again in those lies. Yet here we are 18 months later with nothing done. Its been over 6 months since he was ordered to make some repairs by home warranty and for some reason Scott Mackenzie of Travellers Insurance continued to give him deadline after deadline that Paul blew off and every day the damage gegs worse and nothing has been done. My house will not pass final inspection until this crook adresses these issues so for 18 months I have not been able to move into my new house and therefore sell my old one. His own employees were embarrassed with the shoddy work done. Beware of this smoothtalking bald faced liar.

No one there to help me load huge logs onto trailer and told me they are 80lbs a piece when they were more like 200-250lbs per log. So I had to load them by hand onto my trailer while looking at a perfectly good fork lift!
