I bought a home off Lincolnberg in 2013. I'd say my overall experience at the time was good. There were some things that needed repairs in the first couple months and they came and fixed them.

I recently discovered some water pooling in my basement coming from a corner wall. I bought the house brand new, and that wall came framed and insulated. Behind that insulation was a mess that was beyond my belief. When the house was built, before it was given to me, it had 2 major structural repairs, one in which the photo I have supplied. I thought I was buying a brand new foundation, not a repaired foundation. You can clearly see the spray paint when it was built saying "fix". That "fix" was an abomination. I have had 2 different concrete people in to look at this in disbelief that I was ever handed keys to a new home with this extensive repair to a foundation covered up.

I contacted Linconlberg in which Gord Tolsma the service manager said this "The fact that the repair has lasted that long is good, but sadly something seems to have failed."

Apparently I should be happy that my brand new house repair lasted 10 years.

The he followed up with this. "The company who would have done work like this is Lenbeth weeping tile, but you could also do another repair on it yourself with a kit from home depot or rona."

I guess home depot repair kits are what this builder feels can suffice for a 2 day job I just had to pay for to repair the initial fix.

Not to mention the basement renos I had to take down and pay for to fix this mess.

I didn't buy a "fixed" foundation house Gord, I thought I bought a brand new house. Paid in full!

If you bought from this builder, I'd check the hidden spots.

This company couldn’t build a sandwich properly. They use the cheapest materials, the cheapest HVAC and they do an atrocious job of insulating. Our place is either 40 degrees or freezing cold. We checked behind the mouldings around the doors and windows - ZERO inspiration, and the roof and walls were poorly insulated.

An employee from this company (Brandon V.) has decided to go online, provide a negative review of our business and spread false, misleading and defamatory. He has no direct experience with our company as a customer nor as an employee. He is posting this information online while simultaneously promoting his employment with your company. Very discouraging for a fellow Edmonton business with nothing but 5-star reviews to be attacked this way. We will be happy to remove this review if someone from the company can take action on this matter and contact us.

I can't express how Lincolnberg has been the most amazing company we've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. When we needed a wheelchair accessible home, we told them what we needed, the kinds of things we were looking for... and they were able to accommodate our requests 100% without issue. They showed us a similar model home in our price range and from there we were hooked.

Remove a wall? add a bathroom? put a window here or there? not a problem! Move the kitchen island to accomodate a wheelchair? how far? Bigger? Smaller? We asked them to rough in plumbing for a shower on the main floor all they said was "Sure! where do you want it?" and it was done. Can we take out this mudroom and closet here? "You sure can!" Many of the changes we made didn't cost anything additional (Unless it was a substantial change like adding electrical circuits) and in fact, lots of the changes we made reduced the cost of the build. Even the things that did cost where very reasonable

They let us view the progress as it was being built. We went through all the changes we made and made sure they were made. Anything that needed fixing or to be changed was promptly changed. As we neared completion we went through the house several more times....picking apart any tiny little thing that could possibly be fixed so it was perfect to OUR standards.

When the time came time for possession, they asked if we had someone lined up to finish the roughed in shower we had requested. At the time we did not, and we were just going to wait until after we got moved to sort that out. Mr. Jansen, the president of Lincolnberg homes, would have none of that... and had someone immediately go over and finish that bathroom shower for us. He even said to not even worry about the cost, he'd have it covered. They saved us time and money and the hassle of having to get someone to do it.

Once it came time to move in, we ran into another issue. Our planned entrance that our wheelchair user would have to use until we completed our backyard landscaping (in the springtime since it was now winter) was not wheelchair accessible. We had planned to figure out something to use temporarily, but When Mr. Jansen got wind of this... He would have none of that either! He met with us to talk about it, then had someone immediately go over to the house and build us a temporary ramp to the front door to make it wheelchair accessible. Again he told us to not worry about who would do it or the cost involved, he'd take care of it. He said that he genuinely wanted us to move in, and not have to worry about anything but enjoying our new home. And on that... They most certainly delivered.

11/10 - would recommend to anyone considering a new home, or one needing custom changes like someone in a wheelchair.

Baought a house In LAUREL community in 2017 and reviewing in December 2023. Happy to have a good deal . These peoples r professional. Good quality work and quality stuffs they use .JERRY( service man) give very good service. My all family is happy with LINCOLNBERG.planning to buy another big house with lincolnberg AGAIN. But don’t want sale this house, it’s gems. Love u LINCOLNBERG TEAM. Keep it up. Thanks a lot

Being in our house for over 6 years now, we know a thing or two of our house, and how it holds up with a family of 5, and all I can say is we love it!
Our experience from the beginning was great, from talking with Kim in design, to doing the house walk through with the site super, to adding finishing touches after we moved in. Our house was built in a timely manner, and everything like the framing of the house to the drywall and painting was done very well.
We have a beautiful house that I can't wait to continue living in for another 6 years (and more!) as our family grows and gets older. Thank you Lincolnberg for a great experience and lovely house!

In general, the "Lincolnberg Master Builder" is a very good company to choose from. It was the first time we had an experience to hire the company to build the house for us, and we didn't regret about it. The digest concern for us was the quality of insulation material (soundproof) in the walls. We had been living in our property since 2014 and never had any noise issues coming from our neighbors side ( they have 2 kids though). Every representative we dealt with, from start to finish, made us feel as though they really cared about us. I was able to visit my duplex at many different stages, while it was under construction, which made me confident in the quality of job and materials. The communication was perfect, we had our questions answered in timely manner.

I would recommend LINCOLNBERG company to every one.

I built my first home with Lincolnberg 3 years ago and my wife and I are still in love with it. The Lincolnberg team built me a high quality,energy efficient home that I hope to live in for years to come. We still constantly receive compliments on the quality of finishings and craftsmanship. I would, without a doubt, recommend Lincolnberg homes to my family and friends.
