They do not pay their subcontractors so if you hire them be ready for liens on your project and dealing with garnishment orders from courts.

If I could give zero stars I would. This company was hired by the city to do some sewer upgrades in our quite neighbourhood. The absolute lack of respect of the crew towards the residents on our street is unimaginable. They have parked their big trucks on our private property side yard multiple times, even though we have asked them not too. Used our water from our hose without asking, and don't even bother to turn it off. BUT if I though those things were bad enough - they are not as I have caught 2 of Lil Bear Contracting's workers on two different days using our PRIVATE PROPERTY SIDE YARD AS THEIR RESTROOM. I can only imagine how many other times they have done this that we didn't catch them. Its one thing to trespass onto someone's property but to then use it as your personal restroom, absolutely disgusting. This is our home, this is where we live, and they feel so entitled to just come onto our property and use it as a public restroom.
I tried to call the company to have a discussion with possibly someone who may care but the phone number listed on Google goes directly to a voice answering service - who knows maybe it was the number of the person I just caught using my property as their bathroom? Or maybe they get so many complaints they don't have an office number? Really just overall not a good look for a company, this may be your job site but to the residents in this area this is our home. This is the "politest" possible version of this review.

Clearly using people they know for the "good" ratings. Do sub-par work, and don't pay their bills. Difficult to work with. Wouldn't recommend.

Friendly crew, who gladly keep residents apprised of the project being done on our street. They have an attention to detail and while doing clean up for the weekends, they make sure to sweep our driveways from the construction gravel/dust that spills over. No other contractor who has worked our street before has done that level of attention for the residents. Good job.

Do not know what kind of work they do, but I would never hire a company that disrespects our neighborhood by encroaching private driveways and stop signs with their large trucks. Makes our streets unsafe by creating blind spots for pedestrians. Clearly they are selfish And do not care. Please park your trucks 6 meters from stop signs and 1. 5 meters from driveways.

Despite the previous post noting that they hit marked gas lines, they did not. How this previous poster has intimate details about the fortis gas lines is confusing. Lines that were hit were unmarked gas lines that were unfortunately missed by the line locator. All the proper precautions were followed and they cooperated with fortis to keep all residents and the neighbourhood safe.

This company is doing work in my neighborhood and ruptured a natural gas main during excavation. The main is clearly marked on the Fortis dig maps. The map itself also states you must hand dig at several locations to determine the line location before using any mechanized equipment. This was not done as they ruptured it badly with their excavator. It's clear they do not follow provincial laws and WCB regulations in regards to excavating near buried utilities. If they did, this would not have happened.
