Absolutely terrible highway maintenance this year. It’s almost like they have only 1-2 plows for the entirety of Highway 43. A full 12 hours can go by before they bring plows out after a storm. Not to mention the lack of salt/sand on glare ice for days at a time. I’ve never seen so many accidents and I’ve lived on this highway my whole life. Bring LaPrairie back, this is getting ridiculous. I’m sure the number of deaths on 43 this year are record breaking. I’m grateful for the drivers who do their jobs, but as a contracting company DO BETTER. You’re costing people their lives.

An absolute pathetic excuse for a highway contractor. I would love to work their job and decide at my leisure when the roads should be plowed. Not even major accidents or deaths caused by the negligence to carry out their responsibilities have put this company in question by our government. It’s pretty sad when our oilfield and logging roads are safer to travel then the main highway in the winter. Everyone that works at this branch should be ashamed to call themselves an employee. 1030AM and not a plow in sight on the Wapiti. What’s the excuse this time?

Roads were icy this morning and no sign of this pathetic excuse of a company. Two bad wreaks on hwy 40 before anyone decides to show up. Considering that there has been hardly any snow November until now you’d think they would be all over it this morning.

Overloaded gravel trucks hauling across the Red Willow river bridge dropping hundreds of large rocks 1” and larger all over the highway entering the provincial day use area. Very unprofessional driving without loading to provincial bag limits and causing a potentially fatal and dangerous road condition to oncoming vehicles or motorcycles travelling that road. I will be reporting the incident to the Alberta transport authority.

The least competent organization in Alberta they care nothing about public safety I have been a Trucker in Alberta for 17 years and in the Grande Prairie Area for 10 these people never sand enough or soon enough when everyone is already at work ledcor is constantly last on scene and usually 8 hours too late for extreme weather events which highway 40 in particular has many every year.

3 inches of snow on the highway and not a plow anywhere to be seen, oh wait their still parked in their lot. Perfect way to ceep the roas clear. Great job guys, keep up the amazing work. Unless....

This is 2 day after the snow fall, and nothing was done, unacceptable. There are school buses on this road.

This company doesn't deserve to be open. Their drivers never pay attention to what they are doing and pull out in front of you everywhere cause they think their beacons are red and blue.. Your company should shut the doors aswell as you don't understand what basic road maintenance is.
