Unfortunately our experience with Leader Renovation Service owner/manager Chris B. was terrible. In wanting to support local I was discouraged with the lack of professionalism and results.

There were conversations about tiered services (quality of work delivered according to price of renovation) blaming the client for having too high of expectations (questioning why there was paint splotches on floor and windows, grey patches on wall etc.)and threatening statements to client about giving bad reviews for work produced.

The contractor he used to paint our house was so bad it’s laughable. He also then used an inexperienced person (who he didn’t know) to pour concrete in our house for a fire place mantle to only find out later it’s questionable for this to happen. It was so bad he had to re-hire the professionals to come and try and fix it who educated me on how this professionally should have been done. The crew also burnt a hole in our rug (to which he was going to try and see if I didn’t notice) that lead to an insurance claim which in the end was paid out personally as Chris sent both myself and the company supplying the carpet a 3am incoherent email ranting and raging and blocking us both.

Recently (2 years later) our floor we had done is separating and after deciding to reach out to discuss warranty Chris has not responded to our messages. He’s also to repair our fire place should it stop working because they literally cemented it into our wall…. It is sad that this is the behaviour we had to endure.

We currently are using a different contractor to work on our kitchen and the experience is night and day. They also stated that the looks of our floor would not be warranty issue but in fact an installation problem.

I’ve learnt through many home renovation projects; the success of a project largely depends on the contractor leading the charge. After all, you’re likely spending a few thousand if not tens of thousands of dollars on the project and the last thing you need, at the worst, is the kind of troubles you see and read almost every week about dishonest contractors or at the least, incompetent contractors that just are not up to their craft.

Recently we had a new garage built by Leader Service & Renovations Ltd. led by Chris Beecroft and his team. We hired and tasked his team with building our garage and are absolutely pleased with the process and the outcome. Chris and his team are professional, knowledgeable, reliable and highly experienced.

Right from the very first meeting, Chris established a strong foundation of trust and communication with us. During his initial visit, he discussed our garage concept as well as the scope of work, and took detailed notes, measurements, and photographs.

Shortly after, he delivered a written scope of work which includes the initial budget values, a proposed timeline, as well as preliminary draft designs and recommendations.

Especially impressed with once he confirmed all design elements, his team started a process to uncover any potential challenges that could cause potential problems completing everything as planned. They then presented an accurate detailed quote that included defined start and finish dates, and what to expect, which made it easy for us to move forward with confidence.

This proactivity and transparency alleviated a lot of potential stress about the build and gave us a realistic idea of what to expect and how much it was going to cost.

Chris and his team made it easy to follow along throughout the entire build process, giving us updates to the progress, schedule, and budget without having to ask.

As the build progressed, they spotted every issue and imperfection, and had it dealt with before it could even be mentioned. They held all sub-trades to the highest standards. Overall, their work showed excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. One of those rare experiences where a contractor genuinely cared about the end result, and it shows.

At the end, Chris and his team did exactly what they promised, and to the agreed upon standard. We couldn’t be more pleased with the whole process. We highly recommend you contact Chris and Leader Service & Renovations Ltd. for your project.

My husband and I used Leader Service after a terrible experience with a company from Airdrie.
Chris Beecroft and his team were beyond wonderful.
Our renovation was quite extensive as a garage wall had to be demolished and the garage extended sideways. This involved some tricky excavation of the side wall in the garage, a new beam placement, deck removal and replacement, new floor pad, new side door and a wine room installation.
The team not only got on with the job but kept the site tidy every day, they reused materials to keep the cost within budget. They were a real pleasure to work with. Aaron, Sam, Fred, Tooko, Rees - so great. They always kept us informed as to progress and what was happening.
In the end the deck had to be taken all down and rebuilt as some main beams were rotten, yet the cost did not rocket out. Even though lumber costs went sky high due to the pandemic, Chris and the team worked hard to reuse materials where they could and were careful to find ways to keep costs down for us.
Chris also resolved a problem with the permits which saved us endless trouble and costs. Chris went out of his way to make this the best job and we are thrilled we ended up using he and his team.
We cannot say enough good things about Leader Service and Renovations. We highly recommend Chris and his team.

Miko was quick to share my vision for a washroom remodel and brought it to life. The trades he works work share his professionalism - honestly, remodeling is tough but this was as easy as it could be. They kept the site clean and contained. Look no further for a great contractor.
