BUYER BEWARE Karwood had just filed for creditor protection leaving an entire street looking like a gravel pit. Not one driveway or landscaping has been completed, people paid extra to have driveways bigger and landscape in the back which Karwood will not be completing.
My hopes in this review will be that when they open under a new name that their reputation of unfinished (and poorly built) homes follows them and Atlantic Home Realty that continues to sell for them exclusively knowing they don’t pay and don’t finish jobs, shame on both companies.

Karwood also does not pay their vendors so please keep this in mind if you get into a contract with them.

Karwood is currently owned by Greg Husssey so please keep an eye out for him and his father as they will open under a new name.

3 years after buying a home with Karwood, the extended driveway (that we paid extra for) remains unpaved - along with every house in the subdivision. The entire street is an unfinished gravel pit and total eyesore. An entire neighbourhood had their money stolen and is now left to foot the bill for unfinished work, with zero reimbursement or accountability from the company.

If you ever see the name Karwood Contracting, Karwood Ontario or Greg Hussey (President of both) on a house you are interested in, steer clear.

My occupancy day was delayed when a $100K construction lien was placed on my house. I still have outstanding warranty items 1 year after moving in. Tarion has now stepped in due to their incompetence.
