Jackman did a basement renovation & addition for us, turning it from a dingy, semi-finished space into a completely re-vamped basement suite with a separate entrance. They were great to work with from quoting to construction to finishings and billing. I had a lot of really specific requests and they made my vision come to life, plus educated me when there was something I didn't understand. The timeline took significantly longer than was quoted, but it always does and I wouldn't trade the beautiful quality of the final product that Jackman delivered for an earlier finish. The couple sub-contractors they work with were all great. The Jackman team went above and beyond to help rectify some errors from suppliers, which I was really grateful for. They also heard my feedback on where process could've been improved.

They also are my HEROES because we had a sewage backup from a tree root blockage into the basement shortly before the project was wrapped up and they coordinated the clean up, excavation, pipe replacement, and materials replacements (flooring, trim, etc.). They did this FAST and so professionally, even jumping to come over to our house on Super Bowl Sunday to begin the clean up immediately to ensure the damage didn't spread.

Jackman have done 2-3 renovations for my in-laws as well and the quality of those projects is truly stunning, too.

We decided to add an additional 700 sq ft of living space to our 35 year old Beechwood home in Waterloo. My husband designed the addition and Jackman made his vision come to life. It was a big job with lots of excavation work, intricate brick work, lots of massive windows, and careful attention to foundations. Every detail was considered carefully and professionally. They are truly a great team of skilled professionals that take great pride in their work-they helped us design our basement in our new home, identified some potential issues and solutions all within the scope of our project and within budget. Jordan was an excellent Project Coordinator and Mike M was an awesome Lead Carpenter - both of them kept us informed along every step of the renovation. Their network of tradespeople was amazing (electricians, plumbers, carpenters and painters) you could tell they were all experts in their field. My husband and I used Jackman to do a complete renovation of our basement to turn it into a licensed secondary suit.

We had the pleasure of working with Jordan. We really appreciated the level of communication and professionalism he provided. Jordan listened to our wants and needs, while still providing his advise and expertise. He provided us with updates on progress and unpredicted delays. If we were unhappy with something, Jordan ensured it was addressed to our satisfaction.

We gave 4 stars because although we were pleased with the work overall, we felt some of the finishing touches were overlooked. The nosing on the stairs was a bit sloppy, as well as some of the patching/touch ups on the walls, and there was little to no site clean up provided (i.e. removing drywall and wood, sweeping up nails/debree, etc). These were small things that we conceded as we needed the project done and things were starting to run long. The quality of the work up to that point though was fantastic and if in the future we need more work done we would definitely use Jackman!

We recently completed a bathroom renovation and replacement of all interior doors/frames/casings where we used Jackman Renovation as our contractor. It was time to wave goodbye to our bathroom as previously renovated about 28 years ago and the original 1960’s doors. The exercise involved tearing out all fixtures, cabinetry, tub, floor/wall tiles, doors and starting from scratch. We met with Nathan and Jordan from Jackman at our house and at the Jackman office to develop a quote. It was apparent right from the start that Jackman would (hopefully) be easy to work with. Lots of good suggestions came forward in areas where we were still not sure of how to proceed. Good recommendations were given regarding suppliers along with a willingness to work with suppliers we may have had on our own. This made us comfortable enough to accept the quote and begin work. Over the course of the actual renovation we met a number of skilled trades people. A steady presence through all of the people and the work was Mike, from Jackman. Mike was great about explaining the work, answering questions, and coming up with innovative suggestions for dealing with various situations. And as anyone who has been through a renovation knows, there is always a curveball or two thrown your way. Our curveballs were handled professionally and kept disruption to the timeline to a minimum which was appreciated.

In the end, we knew that our renovation was a relatively small job for Jackman but we felt like we were being treated with the same respect and importance as a larger job. Thank you, Jackman!
