DO NOT USE!
The whole experience was bad. Poor communication surrounding what was required vs what they felt like doing. Demanded to be on site when not required/requested and billed us more than our structural and geotechnical engineers combined. We were told $350 for a rush sample. It took the same amount of time as regular samples (maybe saved 1 day) and cost $2000 for the rushed sample in the end. They did the wrong tests and had to re-do tests (which I am sure they billed us for). The wrong test was too sensitive and would have cost us A LOT of extra money in dump fees and transportation. We only found out they were wrong by getting a second opinion.
Terrible customer service and sense of reality. When my builder called to discuss the astronomical and unexpected invoice, they escalated immediately by threatening a lien on the house (we had already paid 83% of the invoice too). WHAT A JOKE!
My advice, do your research and hire someone who knows how to operate a competitive business and understands that customer service, adding value to people's projects and the bottom line is everything.
This is a small town word travels fast, and reputations are important. You can't build a business on one-time customers. Me and anyone working on my project so far, certainly won't be going back.
p.s the 5 star review on here is from one of the EIT employees at the company, therefore not a real review.
