Extremely disappointed with the quality and responsibility of this developer. We moved into our newly built unit over two years ago, and within months it started falling apart. From poor plumbing and HVAC systems to wall cracks and water damage, it feels like we’re living in a 30-year-old building — not a luxury condo that cost us over a million dollars.

Worse than the materials is the developer’s complete lack of accountability. Repeated emails, calls, and service requests have been ignored or brushed off with vague promises. It’s been over two years of frustration, unexpected expenses, and no proper resolution.

We trusted this company with our life savings. Instead, we’ve been handed a financial and emotional burden. Buyers beware: once you get the keys, you’re on your own.

My client recently moved into their new home -developed and build by Intergulf, and the experience has been outstanding. They genuinely listened to the concerns my client had, provided regular updates on the status of the issues, and, most importantly, resolved them promptly. The level of professionalism and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Intergulf for anyone looking for a seamless home-buying experience.

Intergulf Development Group deserves my rating of 1 star. I bought and am currently living in the Hunter building. I moved from the neighbouring development Denna Homes where I lived in the Beacon building for 7 years. Moving from quality to good value is where I made a mistake. The first big red flag for me when moving into the Hunter building was when I was told I had to delay my move in date by a week because my unit had a leak which flooded the unit! This was just the start, when I finally moved in there were many deficiencies. Missing panel in my closet, cabinet work was mediocre at best (installed incorrectly), garburator electrical was installed wrong, sliding door wasn’t aligned properly as well as the weather stripping, had another leak coming from the roof in the bathroom, water damage on the base of my kitchen counter due to first leak, kitchen sink was installed unevenly, crack in bathroom sink, and the baseboards all looked in rough shape before living in the unit. These were only issues with my own unit as I later learned about shared experiences/deficiencies with other neighbours. Then there was the flood in the gym/sauna which also effected the storage units below. Thus causing the delay in the use of those amenities for months. Then there was the big flood which effected 13 floors causing major damage to the building. Which eventually effected our insurance rates to rise 3-fold and increased our strata payments, that are now higher then what I was paying in the Beacon building (per square foot) which has more/luxurious amenities. I’m so disappointed with this developer and highly suggest anyone looking to buy into a property made by Intergulf Development group to look somewhere else! Quality > value!

I'm living in one of the building near Metrotown which was built by Intergulf. That isn't the building with flooding. However, the build quality is as bad as what other people mentioned. Hot / cold water outage several times per month due to using low rating breaker that can't even support the water heater to function. The wood-work are so bad that the doors do not align or do not close. The glass in building envelope can shatters. Elevator down like several times per year

On top of the long list of deficiencies, only 8 months after we took occupancy the building was flooded forcing us to move out. 90 units were impacted. that’s almost half of the building. Today makes about 3 weeks since the flood and we have not even received an email from Intergulf acknowledging the incident. Don’t buy into the whole “we value our customers” nonsense they keep posting in reply to people’s reviews. They simply do not care! Along with other owners we are weighing our legal options.
I would not buy a piece of gum from this company. Either take your money and run or be prepared to have your life turned upside down by the poorly built development.

Edit: Dear Intergulf, thanks for your reply. The outstanding issue is that a pipe burst on the 12th floor of a brand new building you built. As a result, we are out of a home only 8 months after paying a significant amount of money to you for a brand new apartment.

Flood today is prompting me to write this. Let me just tell you a few of the issues of their Hunter development:

- Flooding in the sauna/gym. It trickled down to one of the storage units and a lot of people's stuff was damaged.
- Balcony glass shattered on two separate units, entire panels. No one was hurt, but it could have been an even worse situation.
- Lack of hot water MANY times.
- Multiple security issues - one of the doors in the building is constantly breaking and fixing it doesn't last. Seems like an issue with the door itself. Because of this, mail room has been targeted, bike room and storage units. Police is being called often.
- Countless issues with finishings in people's units that don't seem to get fixed. Loud fans, appliance issues, painting issues, drawers that aren't able to fully open (another reviewer posted a picture), the list goes on. Also, they definitely cheaped out on the appliances -stove and washer/dryer specifically.
- ANOTHER FLOOD TODAY. MULTIPLE UNITS AFFECTED. A pipe broke, and so many people were dealing with this.
- elevator has broken done multiple times
- there's probably more that I'm not even aware about.

It's been frustrating. Many people report that Intergulf does not listen to their concerns despite many emails. So I wouldn't buy those replies to reviews here about "being heard" and "addressing our concerns". We are under warranty still, and most people haven't had their concerns addressed.
Do not buy from Intergulf, seriously, there's better developers out there that won't cut corners as much.

Inefficient customer service, substandard finish of the suit (scratches on the door, bedroom door does not line up and closes properly, bathroom vanity mirror hits the towel hangar, non-aligning electrical outlets, different (smaller) closet build-in compared to the sales floor plan, the closet itself had rough cut out edges with also non-aligning electrical outlets, late or no warranty work. Some warranty work only took place after I prepared documentation to go through the small claims court Downtown. Arbitrary parking stall assignment (between two pillars where no full-size car fits in between without risking to rip off the mirrors on either side). Again, the response from the developer Intergulf is pathetic, late and or non-existing.
Review replies by Intergulf are “talk” followed by no action.

I just surprised when saw these negative comments. I bought a condo from Intergulf (Hunter Street) last year and very happy with the quality and warranty service. The design and layout is modern and the concrete structure has a high quality. I am a Civil/Structural engineer and know how much effort has been taken to build such an amazing tower.
