An important consideration - there are large engineering companies where you are just a number - I have been there in my commercial real estate career. With IN we felt a valued customer. It is important that we support small and medium sized businesses and avoid, where possible, big corporate entities. Competition, customization, customer service, innovation and pricing, rely on the maximum participants!
We reside in Ottawa. Due to a new subdivision builder lot construction debacle, we have been faced with major flooding of our lot which affected the foundation.
IN undertook a site assessment, reviewed our extensive documentation and provided a comprehensive report identifying the lot issues and linkages to the OBC, Tarion standards, municipal codes and industry best practices.
Their report was clear, concise, referenced standards and easy to understand. The pricing of the report was reasonable given travel, time etc. We particular appreciated the excellent contract information and detailed pricing.
We are very pleased with the product and process provided by In Engineering + Survey.

It is with regret that I must leave a negative review of this company. My experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Despite waiting patiently for the completion of my permit package, the project was not accomplished on time or within the budget promised to me. The delay and overcharging of both the permit package and drainage plan over the last 3 months have been unacceptable.

After reading the reviews of this company, I can see that my experience is not unique. It appears that overcharging clients and delaying projects is a common practice. As a customer, I have already overpaid for the project and it is disheartening to see that the company cannot fulfill its contractual obligations.

It is crucial for the government to provide client protection from companies that engage in such practices, and ensure that they are held accountable for their actions. In conclusion, it seems that this company has failed to provide you with the service you expected and I would caution others against doing business with them.
