If you're a homeowner searching the internet for structural engineers - my advice is to Google no further; and pick up the phone. You've found your guy.

During a basement demolition on a recently purchased home I came across some cracks in the foundation; but more importantly I uncovered some suspect structural components and methods I had not seen before. I was very anxious about what seemed like a "diy hack job" supporting my entire house.

I called HIKO engineering and Kooshyar was able to come out to the house next business day. He reviewed all the members, took measurements, and explained to me exactly what was going on. In my case, there was an inexpensive fix to bring it up to spec. He also explained what was causing the foundation issues, and provided very specific instructions on how to fix everything. He was courteous, and allowed me plenty of time to ask all my questions.

The following day he sent a detailed report precisely outlining what was required to fix the situation, as well as some other helpful information. Best of all, the price was very reasonable! Money well spent. Thank you Kooshyar for everything you've done.
