Review: Elevator Problem in the Building

I’ve been living in this building for a while, and unfortunately, the elevator situation is unacceptable for the number of residents.

There are **170+ apartments**, but **only one working elevator** most of the time. The second elevator has been **broken frequently**, and repairs are either delayed or temporary.

Waiting for the elevator can take **so long that it’s actually faster to walk up 11 floors** — which is not practical, especially for elderly residents, parents with strollers, or anyone with mobility issues.

This isn't just an inconvenience — it’s a **safety and accessibility issue**. A building of this size should not have its residents relying on **one unreliable elevator** for months at a time.

**This needs to be addressed properly and permanently

> I want to be fair — the person who cleans the building does an excellent job, and clearly works very hard.

Unfortunately, the problem is the residents. Many of them don’t clean up after their dogs, and the result is that the building constantly smells like dog urine — especially in the hallways. It’s honestly like walking through a cow barn at times.

Add to that the garbage smells in the common areas, and the building often feels dirty, even though the cleaner is trying their best.

On top of all that, there are 170+ apartments and only one working elevator most of the time. The second elevator is almost always out of service, so you either wait forever or take the stairs — even if you live on the 11th floor.

This building needs stricter rules for pet owners, better maintenance, and proper elevator repair — not just temporary fixes. It’s not fair to residents who pay rent to live in these conditions.

This place is pitiful. They claim they have switched the building to metered hydro, but they haven't. They are scamming with wyse meter solutions. London Hydro said the building isn't individually metered at all. Garage doors are constantly broken. Elevators never work. And the brown guy who is the "caretaker" acts like he owns the place but refuses to do his job. There is dog shit everywhere b/c they Tennant are rude and selfish.

Don’t live here , easily one of the dirtiest buildings I’ve ever been in. Elevators constantly breaking down , back doors constantly being broken . Other tenants don’t care about where they live and just leave their trash in the halls. The washing machines are a coin flip on being clean and having dog poop in them. Not to mention the frequent water shut offs. And rent increase every year.

If you have car, never take this apartment. I registered my car and never got a parking space. And when I parked my car in the P2 lot, the apartment’s garbage bin came and hit my car causing thousands of dollars of repair. And guess what response I received from the ladies at the office was so rude. They were like “this is not even big”. This is not even safe. The reason why the garbage bin came and hit is because they did not lock it. I even have pictures. They never respond to your emails. When we book a meeting, they call in sick . And I end up missing work for this thing
I am soon going to sue this guys for the mental pressure they have caused. Damaging a 50k car and acting like nothing happened

I have lived here for over 8 years and love the management located at 450 I am in 200 Sandringham building. All my service requests have been professional and quickly dealt with. They do a great job with the resources they have.
I read a few bad(whiny) posts and the posters to not reflect my experience. Hey I do not park near garbage bins avoiding freak of nature accidents. Go sue and get laughed out of court

Not nice please, neighbours are crazy! People can listen to loud music even in midnight, especially those from unit 614. Not recommended!!!

When I rented this place last May I thought I was getting a decent apartment. They gave me the apartment with dirty fans which were fire hazard, bathroom mirror loose on the wall, the dining room ceiling fan was so dirty and shaking when I turned it on. The bathroom counter had cigarette marks, the baseboards were so dirty I spent an hour in each room scrubbing them. The kitchen cabinets had tape on the sides.
In the fall I was infested with ants (on the 8th floor) and still had some till I moved out at the beginning of this month. The garage door never closed for months and when finally it was fixed for a couple of months and then back to not working again. The water would be shut off for most of the day on a biweekly basis.
There are no superintendents at all except for site managers which are only around at the Wilkins building.
I finally got them to replace the fans but the ceiling fan I had to buy one and get an electrician to install because they wouldn’t.
I have to say the layout of the apartment is nice but for the money I was paying the apartment was old and there was always an odour of dampness in the apartment and in the whole building.
I finally found an apartment with superintendent living in the building, clean with updated cupboards and appliances and I am saving over $80 per month.
Today I handed my keys in and it was a relief to say goodbye!!!!
