We contacted Hewett & Milne in regards to a plan of our lot as well as survey, as we were advised they had the original plans for our sub division. We waisted 2.5 months of our time, We dealt with the girl who answered the phone and left multiple messages, we were advised they would get back to us once they looked them up, never heard back from them. Then decided to contact Neil Milne,, who advised me he would get back to me.. After numerous messages via email, we got no further ahead. We were able to contact land registery ourselves and obtain the original plan. After advising Neil we have obtained the plan and provided him with the plan in order to obtain a surveyt, once again he did not get back to us. We then checked out some of there reviews and realised, we were not the only ones who have had this problem with this company. Do not waise your time dealing with them, you will get know where

We moved to Meaford in October 2021 and i called Hewett & Milne a total of four times. Always told that someone would call me back. As of today no one called. When I did speak to the young lady receptionist today she indicated she once again got busy and forgot to pass on my message. Besides she told me that they only work on a priority basis with those people who want to proceed. I indicated that i had never been given that opportunity to accept a quote as no one had ever bothered to call me back. Each time I had called I had indicated that it was urgent that a survey be performed due to a neighbours construction very close to my lot line. She snapped back that the cost would be C$5000.00 - C$7000.00 dollars so did i want to proceed. I declined and would suggest that this company it NOT who anyone would want to have to provide an accurate survey. Absolutley no customer service skills or interest.

If you looking for professional survey company in the area this is it.
Ian did survey for my neighbor. It was actually done because of questions if our fence was properly placed. He did not have any obligations to explain anything to us. Not only he was very professional and pleasant but when he was done he took time to explain situation with our other neighbor (in a bad weather non the less). All his explanations were more than I got from the other company in town. When I had questions and concerns for the original company I hired they responded that my client relationship with them ended when I received their report of survey. Here I got free advice. If ever again I would need surveying services without question it will be this company.
