He has done several renovations for me and their work has always been completed extremely professionally and to a high standard.
Even when I had supply issues, Sean and his team accommodated the delays and came back to complete the work as soon as the supplies arrived.

We engaged Hammerdown to finish the basement in our new build. When Sean met with us initially to discuss the job, he listened to what our needs were, and he made numerous suggestions on the use of space, electrical needs and functionality - all of which were improvements over our original plans. Sean offered a detailed Scope of Work along with a reasonable quote for the job. The entire Hammerdown team were friendly and pleasant to deal with. The lead worker, Bill, oversaw the work done by sub-contractors and ensured their quality of work was up to Hammerdown’s standards. Both Sean and Bill also frequently checked with us for our preferences on various details. The quality of work by all involved was excellent and the job was completed on time and on budget. We recently experienced a flood in our basement and called Hammerdown to do the work for us. From the moment we met Sean and received our quote to the completion of work we knew we selected the right company. Their crew that arrived to do the demo was on time and efficient taking care with everything as they moved scrap out of the house. Bill who did the work was meticulous with every detail and kept us well informed of the progress throughout the repair. I will call Hammerdown again for our next renovation.

I live in a Condo Corporation of townhouses. For the past year we have had Sean from Hammerdown Home Improvement provide quotes to us and have had his team do the work for us for multiple job types. He came to us highly recommended by some people who have had home renovations done by them. He hasn't let us down.

His very capable team have done ROOF repair work including repositioning Eavestroughs (so that the water actually goes in them), adding missing downspouts, adding missing troughs, correcting the layout of each section so that the water runs through them, sealing the gaps and installing missing hardware, etc. (Two year-old eavestrough system that wasn't working as it should which resulted in interior water damage to some units.)

His team thoroughly inspected the roof for tile adhesion and loose flashing - fixing as they went. They also re-sealed the exterior of the chimneys and checked our dryer vents for damage (including "stuck" flaps) and lint etc. In the process, they also re-attached loose siding and/or facia as necessary. Wow!

We had them remove a damaged CHIMNEY, from the roof right down to the 1st floor living room. All exterior work was done, leaving the roof looking "untouched". All interior work was also left looking like new.

We had them do INTERIOR REPAIR work that was necessary for water damage; including removal and replacement of damaged ceiling, walls, insulation with resultant painting and stucco touch-up as required.

They built a new interior crawl-space access and seamlessly installed it.

They have also done re-attachment and re-sealing of exterior siding, along with providing and installing facia that was removed by the previous eavestrough installer, but never re-installed. Note ... we found some of the original facia in the dirt, but couldn't use much of it!

Having a contractor who lives within our community and who uses "local" licensed talent means a lot to us.

We are currently having him quote two new jobs. That's how impressed we are with both the work and the ethics of he and his team (we have only met two of them, but they are both fabulous).
