So I went into my local Giant Tiger the other day to pick up a few items when I noticed that these bounce dryer sheets had a price tag with a stock above the wrong price tag. When I asked the store Supervisor Taylor to honor the price tag she refused saying that a customer "could" have knocked it over into place when a staff member covered up the wrong original price tag with the sale price tag which Supervisor Taylor admitted that they have new hires that probably put that there by mistake admitting to dault on their end but still unwilling to compensate me. The next day I called the store asking to speak with a manager about the issue yesterday Supervisor Kim (I believe that was her name) they referred me to the "Owner BOB" After speaking with BOB he said there was nothing they were willing to do & he said it was not up to him & I said "but aren't you the store Owner?" He replied "no" Andrew is, so the Supervisor that morning lied to me passing off BOB as the store Owner. The Scanner Price Accuracy Voluntary Code, which is managed by the Retail Council of Canada on behalf of participating Canadian retailers. Under the code, when the scanned price of an item without a price tag is higher than the displayed price, the customer is entitled to receive the item free of charge when it is worth less than $10, or receive a $10 reduction if the correct price is worth more than $10. When I went into the store that morning to look for the "Store Owner" Andrew they had already fixed the price tag issue & still were unwilling to offer any compensation. I find the customer service here unprofessional on everyone's part which is a shame because I'm a big believer in supporting local but During this recent experience, I think I'd rather drive the extra 20 minutes to shop at a local Walmart instead. **UPDATE** recently revisited the store & once again was meet with the same level of customer service.... while doing my grocery shopping I found some Strawberries & as you can see from the picture below Giant Tiger once again has screwed up on the pricing of an item this is the 5th tim I've come across this issue & when I brought it to their attention asking for the shelf price for the item they denied me saying "that price isn't for Strawberries" but as you can see from the photo there is no price listing for Strawberries & that they'd have to honor the shelf tag which the flat out denied me denying customers right. I shall no longer support this location & move on elsewhere thanks for nothing.

My favourite store. Closer and cheaper than Walmart. Always have my size. Wish it was a bit bigger, but this is my go-to for clothing and sometimes food and treats.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced has to be at this store, on numerous occasions. I'm not sure what the hiring process for this store is or the training the staff receives but they're all rude and miserable. First encounter, my mom, my autistic child and I visited giant tiger and were browsing, this was close to the holidays, there was a display table and for a second my mom drew my attention to a product she was interested in. I didn't realize I was within arms reach of the display table and my son decided to try grabbing the cloth which was covering the table. One of the employees yelled so loudly at my child "HEYYYY" my mom and I got really startled. This employee was standing not more than 2 feet away from us just on the other side of the table. I just said sorry and moved my child away but I couldn't believe someone would yell like that at a child instead of walking a little closer and saying maybe "excuse me don't touch ". I didnt get the name of the employee but a brief description of her would be. Young female, blonde and black hair, facial peircings all over. On a second occasion, while waiting to cash the line got pretty long and the cashier called for back up. The guy who came to assist decided to storm through the centre of 2 glasses display, knocking over several glasses onto the floor. The cashier a young and pleasant girl was shocked and asked if he was ok which he replied yess. I said to her I don't think he's ok, look at all the glasses he just knocked over. On a 3rd occasion while cashing my 2 year old stood up in the shopping cart and I said to him. Sit down or you might fall. The cashiers remark was " it might be a valuable lesson to be learnt" again shocked. I don't know if this individual has kids of his own but I don't see how letting a 2 year old fall off a shopping cart potentially really injuring himself would teach him a valuable lesson. Maybe keep your comments to yourself ?. Again I didn't catch his name but a brief description/male,dark brown complection with glasses. Speaks very automated. 4th occasion, I cashed out a sheet set and then realized once I walked out the door there was a stain on it. I walked back into the store to exchange it and the cashier needed the manager to do so. After calling over the system about 3 times, asking fellow employess where the manager might be and me standing there for about 15 mins. The manager had been outside. She walked up to the cashier without even acknowledging me or saying sorry for the wait. To my surprise it was the same female from my first bad experience whom had yelled at my child. 5th encounter. While cashing, my 2 year old was holding onto his lollipop for purchase and he was quite tired and just wanted to go home at this point. It was our last stop of the day. He was refusing to give up the lollipop to be scanned, but! I was purchasing 2 of them so I asked the cashier if she's able to scan the same one twice instead of me having to stand there wasting time explaining or trying to get this lollipop away from a tired 2 year old . She rolled her eyes at me and then scanned it twice. I had enough with the staff members at this point and I clearly asked "did you just roll your eyes " her response was no I'm dying. I was accompanied by my sister and we both saw her do it. I'm truly disgusted by the staff members at giant tiger and I hope they can be especially trained on how to deal with people who may have hidden disabilities. I will try my best to NEVER visit this location again, unless it is an absolute last option. SHELBURNE GIANT TIGER NEEDS TO DO BETTER!
