Nov 2023 edit- I was so happy with the work Jamie and his crew did that I hired them to come back and do some additional work. They fixed the soffit(s) on the roof efficiently. And they completed a siding job and refinished the carport to make it look a lot better than it was. It is way more welcoming. The biggest task was to fix the access for my elderly parents and they did an amazing job at creating a concrete stair and railing. It is so much safer and way more accessible than it was. Jamie did quite a bit of prep work and planning and communicated his plans throughout the project. His crew were friendly and worked very hard. Thanks again Jamie!!

We needed flooring and drywall repairs (walls/ceiling) after we had leaks that led us to repipe the house. Jamie and his crew were very thorough. All the people who showed up were professional, considerate, and respectful. They did a fantastic job. Everything was left clean and the house looks better than it did before the leaks. We had James and his GEHI crew renovate our back deck. They replaced rotted sections , changed the configuration , and added new decking for both levels. James had helpful suggestions on how to improve the looks and functionality of the deck. His crew was very professional and worked through rain and snow to finish the job. We are very pleased with the quality of the work. Our new, stunning deck will now get a lot of use.

Had these guys frame up my Garage.
Pros
My garage passed its inspection.
I was able to save a little money on building supplies
They helped limit some of the waste by ripping up some of my wood leftover from my footings and re using them.
Were cognizant of my dogs not getting out
I was able to return some lumber that didn't get used, that being said the extra 100 ft of floor joists was probably a little overkill.

Negatives
lack of attention to details,
I was quoted a price without them fully realizing the scope of the work,
Didn't realize the access concerns so after listening to them complain about it I just moved all the wood to the project site myself.
Paid extra for the hours to cut hand rafters which was not the problem, the problem is not knowing if or when they would show up or what hrs they actually worked. Usually sat in there car by 10 am, got out by 10:30, worked an hr took lunch gone by 3 and that was the days they were there. Some days they just didn't show. There was a couple full days in there.
A 1 week project took over 3 weeks.
Messed up some cuts ie.. fascia board, instead of getting a new one just added a short length to it so now it has a seem in it(looks kind of getto)
shorted some rafters so there is a gap between the rafter and the beam
didn't want to look for the post that was sitting in the wood pile so they made one out of 2x6
Some of the framing isn't flush either for the drywall they said they would fix but that didn't happen
And just a house keeping item everyday I got home from work I had to go around picking up all their garbage because I was tired of watching my dog eat it.
Overall I don't think they are bad people or don't know what they are doing I just think instead of all these good reviews maybe we can all learn something.
