We have used Gabel twice now and both times the technician was quick, polite, considerate and did a great job.

This most recent one we called to see if we could have a toilet installed and our shower was not giving hot water. We thought maybe sometime that week. They came out THAT DAY. They took our old toilet and the box the new one came in. My husband said it was like they were never there. And the price was very reasonable, will definitely be using Gabel from now on.

Blessings to you Gift and Thrift Store were the recipients of outstanding service by a team of professional installers. We needed a new boiler. In advance we covered everything in our store, expecting there would be some dust/dirt happen during installation. Each day, their work area was left absolutely spotless. When the job was completed, we were able to uncover all our merchandise with not one bit of dust or dirt apparent. Over the years, I've had experience with different contractors, but I've never seen a work area left in such immaculate condition. Thank you to Gabels and their crew of professionals.

I had used this company for two small jobs; one heating, and one electrical. The guys that came out for each job were polite and friendly, and did what they came to do in a timely manner. When the invoices arrived I'd noticed that I'd been over billed for the electrical work, so I called to get it corrected. The receptionist was polite at first, said she'd look into it and call me back. Most of the day passed before I heard back from her. During the second call she was standoffish and more or less said that the guys wouldn't lie about how long they'd been here, so I'm in the wrong. I explained that they had been here for less than an hour, so I didn't feel it was fair to pay twice what I should. In the end she knocked half an hour off the bill.
I'm still not happy about it. In hind sight I should have asked them to send over a manager to actually look at the work that was done. The wiring had been ran through a brick wall, and through the floor into the basement before the guys arrived. The wire needed to be stapled on to the ceiling joist and connected to the main panel, and the end outside needed the wire connected to the receptacle and mounted on the wall (required drilling a couple holes in brick which took the fellow several minutes). Pretty basic job for two experienced guys, and did not take anywhere close to the two hours they billed me for.
I suggest if you use this company for work that you get the tradesman to sign something saying how long they were actually there for so you don't run into this same "their word against mine" scenario. The company will stop short of calling you a liar if you disagree with their billing.
I don't mind paying for the time the guys were here working, and their drive one way, but I don't appreciate being taken advantage of. I will thank this company for making me wiser in my dealings with trades people in the future though.
