My senior mother, who has health issues, has been without air conditioning for over a week now, with no estimated time for repair. According to the superintendents, this is a widespread issue affecting all Drewlo apartments this year. It’s extremely concerning—especially during a heatwave—and disappointing that there has been no resolution. If they can’t restore something as essential as air conditioning in over a week, I would seriously reconsider renting in any of their new downtown buildings.

I see others have raised the same concerns—but what’s being missed is the bigger issue: the lack of communication and follow-up. That’s not just a systems issue—it speaks to incompetence and a clear lack of care.
BTW... i don't care to hear your presence populated response about extreme heat and therefore more AC issues. Every year there is a heat wave of some sort and every year in the winter you can expect extreme snow storms. We still expect air/heat. We pay for it therefore we expect it!

May 23/25. I live at 1460 Beaverbrook Av, London for 14 years. We just got new raised toilets installed! Plumbers and staff supervised by our incredible Building Manager, Georgina. All boxes were lined up neat against hall wall last night. They were so quiet and professional. In and out of my apartment in 20 minutes quiet as mice. No noise in hall. No mess in bathrooms. I am thrilled! Georgina kept me informed of timing and the cooperation amongst staff was tremendous. They all worked as a team. My Managers Georgina and Dan, are the kindest and most highly efficient Managers I’ve ever had over 14 years. I feel safe, and respected here. Swift response to issues. Building spotless. Thank you so much for such excellent service!!❤️❤️

I live at 810 Capulet lane and my sink was leaking so my landlord promptly dealt with the issue and put a work order in. I really wanted a new sink and not a patch job as the sink had cracks in it and it didn’t look good and I was worried it would just start leaking again if it was just repaired.
Drewlos contractor, Benny came and replaced the sink and did an excellent job. Not only did he do it in good time, everything looked so professionally done. The silicone was applied perfectly - he didn’t make a mess or slop product everywhere- I was so impressed. I highly recommend if you need any work done to ask for “Benny” . Hes amazing !!!
Thanks to Drewlo, my landlords, Peter and Jennifer and Benny - you make living in this building a wonderful place to be.

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend

Living here has been nothing short of frustrating. Maintenance requests, especially for serious issues like AC problems, are repeatedly delayed or ignored. Communication is poor, and you’re often left in the dark with no clear timeline or follow-up.

The building itself is outdated, with frequent issues that go unresolved for weeks — sometimes longer. What you see on the website is definitely not what you get.

For the rent they charge, the quality of service and care for tenants is beyond disappointing. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. I truly regret signing a lease here.

My boyfriend and I moved into 825 Chelton the first of June and I'm extremely disappointed in my experience so far. We moved here because our previous apartment didn't have a/c and with the heat waves last year we didn't want to go through that again. We made that extremely clear to Jorge when we were talking to him prior to signing the lease.

The a/c has not worked the majority of the time we've lived here so far. We contacted Jorge right away when we realized the a/c wasn't working, and he said someone would be in in a couple of days to have a look. Jorge told us a total of six times that someone would be in to look at our a/c before it was finally fixed - three of these times nobody even showed up and two times the person who came didn't bring the tools necessary to fix it. The sixth time, the person who came was able to fix it. However, this fix proved to be temporary. We are once again without a/c, which we reported July 1. Nobody was working that day, fair enough, it was Canada Day, but Jorge said he'd try to get someone out to fix it the next day. Nobody came the next day, so we called Jorge again I don't remember what the excuse was that day, but there was one. We were told after calling Jorge again on July 3rd that someone would hopefully be in that day, but if not, then "worst case scenario it'll be first thing tomorrow" which would be July 4, which it is now, at 5:00pm and nobody ever came.

I'm really disappointed because now I know best case scenario someone will come in on Monday (which is honestly a bit too optimistic based on how things have been going) so we have a minimum of two more days of extreme discomfort ahead of us.

Throughout this entire experience, we’ve repeatedly asked Jorge to let us know when someone will be arriving. Not once has he proactively provided an update — we’ve had to call each time to chase answers.

At this point, I don’t know what else to do but post this publicly and hope someone from Drewlo Holdings will step in to actually resolve the issue. The apartment has been extremely uncomfortable, disrupting our sleep and preventing us from cooking because the heat is overwhelming when we do. With all the curtains closed, no lights or appliances running, the temperature inside still remains around 24–25°C with humidity ranging from 60–73%.

We were so impressed with the unit when we first moved in and had high hopes based on that first impression. But now, I get a sinking feeling in my stomach when I hear the name Drewlo.

Edit August 11, 2025:
They managed to "fix" the a/c (again) for a couple of weeks, and now we are once again without. I'm living off smoothies because it's too hot to cook and I'm barely sleeping. The 70% humidity is starting to take a toll on the doors as they now stick and are difficult to open. We put in another request to Jorge on Friday, and have received no communication on when they'll be in to fix it, so more of the same. I can't believe what a horrible experience we've had with Drewlo. I'm warning everyone I know.

Also to address the comment left by the Drewlo team in response to my review, it's not because of the weather, it's because the builders installed them incorrectly and installed some a/c units that were defective. Why lie about this? I don't know.

Drewlo is not fair in its approval process, they put different rental requirements on difderent groups of people. Not only that they are rude in their response to applicants they reject. They will not tell you why they reject you, precisely because they have moving goal post for different people. I had 20,000 up front for the entire yrs rent and had been living on site for 3 yrs when i applied for my own unit.
They have empty units and still denied me. Funny how it works, some have no credit no work history but somehow get in . But not a white retired disabled man with 20,000 up front go figure.

Always an issue within their buildings. Hundreds and hundreds of work orders on the go always....bet you they got a binder of them 24/7
And when you need a work order done or fixed expect to be waiting and have little to no communication regarding it.

They accuse you of things that you didn't do and then threaten to evict you with no proof or even talking to you to get your story first. Which is just the tip of the iceberg...
The management is unprofessional and just tell you what you want to hear.
I recommend to stay far away..DO NOT sign a lease

Drewlo Holdings is a great place to live. Living in an apartment building is a new experience for me, and they made the transition very easy. The hallways, elevators, and lobby are kept extremely clean. Management is right on the ball. Any and all issues are taken care of right away. I like the ideal of concierge and security in the building. It makes me feel safe and relaxed in my space. Having 5 appliances and not having a community laundry room is great. The salt water pool, hot tub, and workout room are added benefits that are well kept. I also have a great view of southwest London.
