I have had two surveys done now with Dearden and Stanton and I have been more than happy with their work, their customer service and their open communication with me throughout the process. Highly recommended. I will definitely use them again should I need to.

Very unprofessional! Paid for an R-plan and they produced a first draft that included details that don't need to be on an R-plan and they even invented some details that just don't exist, and then they sent that fictitious first draft to the township's planning officer. They refused to apologise, and they refused to tell the planning officer that the draft was a work of fiction, and they flat out did not accept that they were wrong (the details they included are completely absurd - why would a neighbour's drive start on my property, go over a concrete raised bed, up a steep grassy slope, and take a sharp 90 degree turn instead of starting at their property line on a different street around the corner?!). He refused to take my phone calls. He said he'd "wasted enough time already". It was like dealing with a toddler.

Be very weary of doing business with this company. My whole experience was a nightmare.

I purchased a boundary & topographic survey in order to stake the property line and provide for accurate grading along it (and to clearly identify it for a municipal inspection). After discussing this with the estimator I got a quote for ~$4500 (2.6 acre property). Additional stakes were to be added along the property line for easy identification. Survey was performed and produced but no stakes were placed along the property line, only at each corner. As they are 700ft apart and up a mountain it's impossible to determine the property line.

Despite my complaints and producing emails showing this had been discussed during the estimating process no consideration or accommodation was provided. I had to pay another $1800 for them to return and place the stakes as originally requested.

Very unprofessional staff who acted arrogant with a "too bad" attitude as they're one of the few surveyors in the area.

Avoid business dealings with them. If you do business make sure every detail of the work is specifically included on the quote.

There were further issues with quality of work but the above was by far the most distressing and relevant. Stay away.
