Another pair of very dangerous dumptruck dolts, behind the wheel at Sterling Haulage. Ready to take this up with MTO. Watched in horror as the pair of yellow STERLING HAULAGE dumptrucks following aggressively close in the right lane behind small cars and in the rain, and saw the pair of Sterling haulage drivers scare other motorists all the way from Stouffville Road the Lakeshore down DVP. Visibility was poor and there was no reason for following aggressively closely as the traffic wasn't going anywhere...Honking their horns flashing lights and generally aggressive behaviour, that is not at all unusual from drivers at Clearway. Let's see if this final voice gets a reasonable reply and resolution, before we move to have the transportation minister look into this dangeroous organization? Oh and the only positive review from inside the company, is from a driver who also reviews a paralegal traffic ticket court representation place (meaning that the driver was so poor on safety that he needed legal help with his traffic tickets!)

On behalf of Emerson area majority, not shocked to see such a low rating and so many 1 stars. Left a voicemail today as a crew made it extremely difficult for me to leave my street via car. Standing in the middle of the road, blocking off the whole street with pylons and the crew members having their smokes. I stated that these crews have been wrecking havoc on our neighbourhood. For example; An elderly lady had her driveway blocked and crew refused to move when she said she needed to get her car out. She had to call bylaw - thankfully for clearway, they were not slapped with a fine. Multiple neighbours also reported having to replace blue bins and garbage cans due to the crews curb hopping up on sidewalks and damaging that property. It’s not wise to leave garbage bins out, no, but our street is full of elderly and students. We weren’t exactly expecting crews to come down our street causing problems. When I received a call back, this man almost immediately started arguing for the company after introductions. I told him multiple times I wasn’t trying to argue or confront here, and it’s not that hard to just let your crews know there were some reports, and to not park in front of driveways or fire hydrants or block the full road or drive up on the curb. Does this company not have Ravens? Or even just basic dash cams? These are company vehicles! Why must I go through the effort to appeal to the student house I live in and get footage that yall should already have? The conversation was extremely frustrating as this man kept repeating “work wasn’t even done on your side” like I know. That’s kind of the problem? Unprofessional crews, unprofessional supervisors, unprofessional company. There is also no reason the city couldn’t have handled everything clearway did, we’re all the way in Hamilton. Get your Toronto attitudes out of our neighbourhoods. We dont want your awful private companies here.

Such dangerous drivers. They could’ve killed someone with the way they drive. They were not in a turning lane, and turned anyway last minute! No signalling while driving incredibly fast. The truck in front of us was nearly hit.

I would never trust them to do any work after observing that behaviour.

It was obvious that the turning lane was the only turning lane, and I believe they didn’t want to wait like everyone else was. But it’s no reason to put others and yourself at jeopardy to save a little time.

I had the support of Allen and Lawrence who needed to repair a fiber optic line to my home and which required some additional consideration since there was concrete on the area in front of my home. Lawrence and Allen were very clear on what they had planned and listened to any concerns I had. They did an excellent job and no issues since they completed the work!

Today may 29th 2024 at dundas and Scarlett a foreman white helmet named Dan proceeded to yell profanity at me to get out of the way get away. I was on my motorized wheelchair. trying to get to my doctor's. I live in the building nearby. This individual needs a lesson on how to deal with and how to speak to the public. Not to mention on a few occasions I've witnessed him swearing at his workers. I will be calling the City and Lodging a complaint. His workers are not Dogs they are human beings trying to make a living they shouldn't have to go to work to be treated like a dog. He is so disrespectful yelling at everyone and everyone can hear and see it. Pedestrians shouldn't have to worry about people like Dan in the white construction hat belittling them as they try to navigate around the construction... if Dan doesn't know how to treat his workers or pedestrians that live in the area maybe he should work for McDonald's or maybe the garbage company. I will be contacting the city.

The negative reviews here are spot on!!
This company is doing construction road work in my neighbourhood. Their workers are completely moronic and selfish. They seem to hate their jobs and everyone around them. They are rude, aggressive and have no thoughts to people who live in the area. So many complaints about this company as a result - all the neighbours talk about Clearway (in a bad way!!). Terrible marketing for the company - who would use Clearway after seeing the quality of their staff on projects. I will be making a formal complaint to the City too.

Driver of unit 657 at 5:10pm 10/23/24 was unreasonably aggressive while driving, and tailgating for no good reason. Just horrible driving etiquette.
