Unfortunately, Carol puts money above doing the right thing. We contacted her to see a property that she is the listing agent. She requested our email to send “something to sign so we could see the property”. Knowing nothing is required to be signed for her to show a property, we were curious what she would send. What she sent was a Buyer Agreement for exclusive representation on both sides of the deal for one month and an extra 2.5% commission. When we advised that we would likely represent ourselves (as anyone can write an offer in Ontario without being a realtor) she refused to show the property and cancelled the appointment. When we asked why she would refuse to show the property, she went on to say she never shows a property unless there is a Buyer agreement in place with her! Unreal! We’ve never encountered this and aside from greed she couldn’t provide us any other reason for this personal policy. When we called her Brokerage, they were very surprised to learn about this. Lots of realtors out there and with Carol’s ability to play fast and loose with the truth as well as her affinity for money, we would recommend you find someone else!
