I hired B&P Contracting to build a walkout basement. They did a sloppy job cutting corners everywhere they could. I'm very disappointed with the results. Whenever I brought up the issues asking Michel to fix it he brushed it off saying it was fine. It is not fine Michel. It is wrong!!!

I don't recommend B&P Contracting whatsoever! Look at the issues below.

1. The stairs runs were built as 9" wide, but it was supposed to be 10" as specified on the permit. It is a code violation.

2. The landing isn't sloped properly. After raining the water sits on the side instead of going to the drain.

3. The drain isn't sloped properly. The water escapes through the cracks and falls into the soil instead of going down the pipe.

4. Half of the door frame is sticking out. They tried to patch the concrete walls with mortar to hide it, but it was the worst cement job I've ever seen. It seems like a 4-year old was playing with cement.

5. The cement patch around the sump pump is a joke.

6. When installing the window and the door, they cut the double plate that compromised the house framing. They had no idea what they were doing. The window doesn't have one single screw!!!

7. Cut corners when laying the bricks above the window. Instead of removing that half brick and put a full brick, they put another half brick.

8. They didn't care about the job site at all. There was cement/concrete all over the place. The door, railings, deck, and driveway were left with lots of cement. I managed to clean the door, railings, and deck, but I couldn't clean the driveway.

The team at B&P were fantastic to work with on our kitchen remodel. Michael was extremely helpful and communicative. He also gave us feedback and suggestions on our design and layout, that we didn’t think about. And the team that came in to work on our kitchen were great. They were very precise and clean. We love our new kitchen.

Michael, Jackie, and their team completed the renovation of my living/dining room. I cannot say enough good things about them. My home is older and has undergone both DIY and professional renovations during its life. As it is with older homes, sometimes you don't know what issues will crop up. B&P always made me aware of the challenges and offered options for resolution. This is the second job they have done for me and I trust them implicitly. My first contractor from Bark was NOT trustworthy, so to have that anxiety off your plate when you are spending (for me) a lot of money is wonderful.

I would like to thanks Michael and his team to do a wonderful job for the renovation of our main floor. I appreciate his smart suggestions in order to improve the look of my kitchen. We discussed everything in detail about the materials and workmanship. Keeping in mind my tight budget we negotiated a very reasonable quote. Whole team is friendly, hardworking and punctual. I personally visited his showroom and saw the kitchen cabinets. He even showed us samples and designs of the materials and asked our approval. His workers are skilled enough to take care of all kind of work including plumbing, electrical, tile and hardwood flooring installation etc. I strongly recommend them for all kind of renovation and quality service.

B&P redid my basement with a new bathroom and they did a fantastic job. Clean, thorough exceptional work. Work almost 10 hours a day so it's done as soon as possible. Highly recommend them.
